long time no post on craftster, and I'll make a comeback with some photos

so I'm in school studying graphic design and one class we had a photography class which I was very happy to be in, I love taking pictures. so I found out we were going to the Denver Botanic Gardens to take pictures to use in our class and I found out that there would be a contest, so I submitted these and I WON! The first one is my winner. I won a Panasonic Lumix FZ-18, 18x optical zoom, it's amazing and I'm still getting used to it
Let me know what you think!

Thanks for looking!  Grin

Simply gorgeous!  What equipment did you use to take the photos, and what settings did you use?

Those are gorgeous.  And I must admit, I love coincidinces (sp?) . . . I took photography last semester, and went to the Denver Botanic Gardens and took pics . . . of course, my class was only black and white photography Sad  CONGRATS on winning that contest; way cool.  Are you going to Metro State, by any chance?

I'm actually at Platt College. I was super happy to win and now I have new camera to love and use, my old one was confusing buttons... I would push the menu button and it would zoom in or something else not related to the menu.

I took these photos as RAW images, with no equipment, just my hands and eyes. I'm not all too sure about the settings, I didn't mess around with them too much, I love using the macro option though so I can get really good detail. I had to take them into Camera Raw to develop the images, only some slight changes.

Thanks for the comments!

Congrats!  These are all great. I am learning to use soft pastels - I would love to paint some of your beautiful photos for practice - is this possible.
