I swear I did a search, and found nothing, but I might not have used the right word(s)... everyone knows what I'm talking about? Those round, stout, foam cylinders with the hole in the bottom that people like to sit a beer or soda in for the purpose of keeping it cold...

Well, I have a few; what can be done with them?

I've seen some decorated snazzy, with a feather boa wrapped around the top for a diva-coolie - not my thing.
Because of the hole in the bottom, I thought about putting a plant in them, but I'm not much of a green-thumb. (Seems like it would work, though.)
I've thought about deconstructing them - but then what? I'm not much of a stamper, either, even if it seems like a good material for making stamps...

Any suggestions/ideas? (I especially love the off-the-top-of-the-head ideas, they're always so unusual.) Smiley

you can always cut them up and make your own stamps/ collages out of the foam!!

Well... you could make pop-up cards by cutting it up and drawing a picture for something and then redrawing one big important thing in the picture and then glue the foam to the center of the "important" part and then put what you redrew and glue that centered...
I don't know if that made ANY since at all... Undecided oh well...  OR
You could fill in the bottom with... something and then use it as a hot-chocolate or coffee cup!  I don't know if that would work though... Huh  Oh well!  Wink

cut them up and decorate them into bracelets/cuffs

attach a handle at the top and decorate as little baskets to give halloween candy out in

cut out shapes or poke holes and run a string of lights and poke each light through the hole at the bottom of each cozy

Why not get a cheap plastic cup and put it in the cozy and use it for a planter that way?
I used to use my for a catch-all at work - pens, change, paper clips.

You know, I'm just out doing a search myself on how to MAKE these things for an up-coming trip. Came across this topic and thought I had it licked.  Undecided  I was considering using some left-over Fleece and some velcro strips.
As for what you might be able to use the ones you have already - what about covering them in some fabulous fabric, stick a soup can/top cut off an aluminum can inside and make a small flower vase.  (Just noticed the previous posting about using a plastic cup. d'oh!)  Perhaps even roll the thing in some acrylic paint or poster paint, and create some textured art of some sort.
Hm, now I really wish I had one or two. I just don't feel like going out and BUYing any.

Hey, if you need some, I have well over 100 from a beer promotion. What I've been doing is tucking them in as extras in gifts, just to get rid of them. d

Well this is obvious, but...  put bottles/cans in them??  I use them all the time, because I really like cold beer. Smiley

Because I don't want to make a totally useless post, here's what i can come up with...  Maybe stick string lights into the holes and hang them for subdued mood lighting?  Slice into bracelets?  Decorate and give them to someone who would use them to keep their drinks cold?
