Ohhh!  I love the Dick and Jane bag!  It seems that if it goes missing, there may be more than a few suspects, jMisSister!  Also, I've got those same star-shaped post its on my desk at school.  Beats the hell out of normal square ones!

After a HUGE day today, I somehow managed to drive home (I'm sure yoda was driving tonight) and found a lovely blue package waiting at my door.  Wooohooooo!  My package from mimikachu!

It is so cool - you will see my delight in pictures shortly!
First up we have a collection of hand sanitizer (can't be too careful with all the little germies flying around the classroom), blooming green tea with jasmine, a cute zippered pouch - stuffed with metrocards and a bracelet made from subway-map beads!

At first I couldn't work out why mimikachu had sent mea stack of metcards... then she explained in the card - they make great stencils!  I have a cool idea brewing already...

Then we have a cool pouch for storing and transporting my brushes and a journal.  Made in the coolest vintage curtain fabric inspired by Andy!

I have to admit that when I look at it I get a soundbyte going through my head from "Something About Mary": frank and beans....
And an action shot of the journal.  It is super fantastic!

Mimikachu was generous enough to send some vintage fabric bits!  This is perfect timing as I'm heading to a textile workshop this weekend and we need to take fabric pieces with us to manipulate.  These are going to be turned into something very cool!

And my favourite bits of the whole package:  Awesome badges!  Two are made from chinese propaganda posters and the other two have magnificent sayings on them.  I laughed so hard I nearly snorted when I saw them.

Action shot:

See how they made me smile?

Hahahaha!!!  I love them!

Thanks so much mimikachu!  This swap has been a lot of fun!  Thanks craftastrophe and everyone!

I MUST make that "Use Your Inside Voice" button for myself!!!  I say that a million times a day...that or "Use a 2 inch voice."

Adorable stuff!

I forgot to mention that mimikachu also sent some very tasty snowpea crisps that I've never seen in Oz before... but sadly they couldn't make it to the photo shoot.  They were in my belly! Yum!

I am so glad that you liked everything. I always kinda feel like taking a gamble, but I wanted to send  stuff that inspires you, helps you out and nourishes. And the snow pea crispy thingeys--yeah, one of my favorite indulgences as of lately-

I got my FANTASTIC package from goodtimegirl. I would recommend her as a swap partner to ANYONE! We kept in touch a lot through e-mail. She actually e-mailed me a ton of very useful lesson plans. (We both teach 9th grade English!) I got a Poe shirt (see the raven at the bottom that says "Nevermore") Of course, she hooked me up with some SWEET office supplies! (see mini sharpies, post-its, bubble stickers that ROCK) I even got some Clorox wipes for the classroom. I probably should have invested in some of these earlier, as I was home with a sinus infection for two days this week.

And check this out:
It's a prop for the awesome lesson plan she sent me! It's a Romeo and Juliet crime scene!

All I gotta say is.. I wish I had goodtimegirl as a teacher myself!

Arrrgh!  That crime scene is such an awesome idea for this swap!  Not that I'm english-ly inclined (in the subject sense...), but I think it's such a great unique idea!

Nice work!
