This is one of my recent creations. Very simple, but so is my dad. It matches his living room exactly! A little bland compared to the stuff I usually make. I gave it to him for his birthday, which was right after he was in a car accident, so he could recover and be cozy. My hubby didn't think I would really give it away, because it was so soft and cozy to be under while crocheting it. It is approximately 6.5 feet square. It's a simply granny square made REALLY big and without changing colors. The yarn I used was Red Heart Light & Lofty in Pheasant. I used am N hook. The pic isn't great, but at least I got a pic of it before I gave it away, (I never remember to.) This is my first post, I am so excited to have found this community! Thanks

I'm sure he'll love it and it'll help him heal quickly, because you croched a little bit of love into every stitch.

That is the sweetest nicest thing!!!  It's an awesome blanket, I bet he loved it so much!  Did he?  You put a lot of yourself into it!

He did love it thanks. I meant for it to be a big snuggly on the sofa sort of blanket, but he's been sleeping with it since his birthday. His cat puked on it, and he freaked out. He felt so bad. I told him to just throw it in the washing machine and dryer and not to worry about it and it still looks great.

The picture really doesn't do it justice.

The color is called pheasant,
but it is sort of an olive color, a natural sort of color, a tan, a maize or gold color, a deep burgandy, and every once in a while you'll see a fleck of plum. It's very fall in color, like leaves changing, if you know what I mean.
