They are mushrooms. They are meaty and pink/red. They have the hearty taste of lobster shells. Yummo! I bought dried ones and rehydrated them in some hot water, then chopped them up and added them in.  Grin

I got them at HEB Central Market, but have seen them occassionally at the HEB Marketplace. Oh, it might have been HEB Plus.  Huh Anyway, HEB.  Cheesy
