A long time ago jazzyloo posted up a snuggly she made for her ragmuffin cat https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=108305.0 and I loved the idea!
I have a large ragdoll special needs cat, and he needs to be with me at all times. I have bad wrists so carrying him around when he needs me really takes a beating to my wrists. Once I saw the pattern she used and figured it out, it took me a bit to get around to making it, but I finally took the time this afternoon to sew up Stranges snuggly.
I had to adjust things a little bit but once I got it right, he loved it!
I put him in it for about 10 minutes to test it out, make sure he appreciated it and that I liked it.
I cant wait to try it out more tomorrow, when I do my tidying around the house.
Im sure everyone is going to laugh at me though!

The fabric I used is a flannel green paw prints with green polka dots

Oh what a pretty kitty and cool idea with the baby sling Smiley May I ask what his special needs are, as I work with felines and I haven't yet come across a condition which requires the cat to constantly be with a person, certainly not in a sling, but I am always willing to learn more about different cat problems which owners come across.

Also. You may need to do a bit more research on your cat to make sure that you are treating the right condition, as your cat is certainly not a ragdoll. Ragdolls are grey and white with blue eyes, a quick google image will showthis:

I just worry as certain problems with cats are breed specific, or more common in certain breeds, and you really do have the breed of this little guy quite wrong...

Twiz, that's adorable! Hmmm, wonder if Snorty would let me do that to her? Uh, probably not. Grin

AQ, If you put snort in a sling and could carry her, you would have more balls than in peru!

Thanks ladies

TwiztidBlood, is your kitty a red non-point ragdoll? He's a beauty! Smiley
Edited to add: The second kitty here looks a lot like your guy.

They are adorable kitties, and very gentle.

He also kind of reminds me of a Maine Coon cat. But look at the size of these critters! Shocked

<---Seymour over here would slice me to bits if I tried to carry him around thusly, but I love your kitty sling.

wow does he ever look like the solid ragdoll ( I havent heard anything about them )

He has the calico(orange) body with the bi-colour -bicolour (with white inverted V on face,
white paws, white backlegs, white bib and white belly) and the preference of green eyes for solid.

He was a rescue, but they confirmed he is mostly ragdoll, with a mix of something else ( the reason he doesnt have the regular colour and eye colour )

Strange is the gentl'ist big man ever, hes the only cat Ive ever seen that doesnt use nails on cat trees haha, he just paws them to death. Mind you, Im glad hes gentle, as hes huge and his feet are half the size of my palm!

Ill have to look into those links!

Seymour is sooo cute! Ive checked him out every time I see you post

He looks so happy and content in his new sling.  Our kitty doesnt like to be held unless he is in someones lap or that person is sitting down.  He's obviously very cozy  Cheesy!!  Nice job!!

<b>Like what you see here??  It might be in my shop!!<b>

<b>I wist!! Lets do a personal swap!!!<b>
