Hiya, folks!  It's that time again, I think.

I'd like to organize round 2 of the Tree Swap, which was a smashing success last time!

I am thinking we'll work with a February sign-up period (the 14th to the 28th or something) and a late March send-out.  I am more than willing to take suggestions for swap size (last time it was 5 points), so please share.

I would like to do sign-ups no earlier than mid-February so we have enough time to get the word out and because I can't start crafting until March (throwing a baby shower for a friend at the beginning of March, ACK!!).

Here's a link to the original thread for Round 1: Clicky Clicky

And here's a link to our fabulous R1 gallery: You don't want to miss this!

Peruse, let me know what you think.

If you were in the tree swap last time, you were fabulous (except for the two flakers we had).  If you weren't, you are absolutely welcome to join us for the next round!  We had 36 people last time and that is a LOT of wonderful tree craftiness!

I look forward to seeing everyone's interest and getting some ideas rolling!

I am really excited about a round 2! I've been stalking the round 1 gallery, waiting for people to mention it. I'm going to be really busy working on a few big projects during February/March, but there's no way I'll miss this swap.

5 points sounds good to me, or perhaps 6 points? A large, medium, and small?

I cant believe that 2 people flaked on such an amazing swap!
You KNOW I will be in for round 2!
LOL - you can call whatever you like for the size requirements.  Did anyone actually follow it last time? I dont think I saw any 5pt packages there  Grin

I don't think many, if any, people followed that guideline either but I guess better to make it low just in case, and then if people want to go all out, they can discuss it with their partner.  Cheesy

Yeah, we had two flakers, both in craftADDchick's group, both first-time swappers, I believe, and one of them was HER partner!  I volunteered to angel or replacement-partner for her, but she said it wasn't a huge deal.  What a trooper.  Smiley  Still, I felt awful for her because I know she was really excited about the swap.  Flakers boggle my mind Huh  You know in most circumstances it's not because of a family emergency, too.  That would be different, but BOTH flakers said they would be sending late and were in touch up to the minute, then just never got back to their partners.   Cry

Anyway, TREES!

I might think about doing this again.  I think a 5 points minimum would be a good starting point.  If someone wants to do more, then that would be up to the individual.  That's usually the case.

I've been hunting around for a prospective swap that I could give my swapster virginity to (Feb 3, one month - if I'd only known about swapping all that time that I spent lurking craftster without an account!) and this looks awesome. If it turns out half as well as evidenced by the awesome gallery last time, it's sure to be amazing. I'd also never flake, cross my little first-timer heart...
