I've been wanting to experiment with new ways of using cross stitch, other than just framed items.  And after completing a couple of larger items, I needed to do some things that were on a much smaller scale.  So I came up with these little hair pins:




I've also made cute little red hearts on black fabric.  My favorites are the butterflies though!

These are fantastic!  Did you create a covered button and then attach that to the hairpin?

Pretty much!  I had to clip off the button loop with some jewelry wire cutters.  The hair pins also had a round disc attached to the end.
