After the chaos of Christmas I needed a break so I jumped on the wristlet bandwagon & made this:

I took it shopping & it was too cumbersome. I thought of attaching the zipper part to my belt loop w/a carabiner, but it just bounced all over my leg & stuck out below my jacket soooo

I transformed it to this:

It works wonderfully. The wallet has 2 inside side pockets for cards plus the main area for $$ & chap stick. I've always loved the fanny pack (no hands shopping) & now I have an updated Waist Wallet. It measures approx. 7 1/2" x 3 1/2" - I measured it based on my checkbook, but it came out a smidge to small (I use my debit card mostly anyways). Sorry for the blurry pics & my pj's. What do you think?

I agree with the previous poster.  This is definately not your ordinary "fanny pack".  This is a great idea.
