So i have been trying to put together a simple knit purse with straight bamboo handles. I am not sure if they are really bamboo, but they sure as hell look like it,and thats good enough for me. There are tonnes of these reeds that look like it and grow around here.So i tried to make my own pattern and it didnt come out right. And i totally ran out of patience to pick it up and try it again.I even tought myself how to cable for this project! It was looking super cute. Cry Anyways,i was wondering if anyone knew of a pattern for straight handles or where i could find one.I have been looking everywhere but to no avail.Or even if someone could explain how the heck you attach the sticks? i am lost.thanks

This has been on my to-do list ever since I laid eyes on it. Give it a whirl and do post pictures if this is the one you decide to go with.

oops.. i just noticed the bag isn't on straight needles. but fret not, just do k1p1 ribbing at the top of the bag for about 2 inches and then fold the ribbed part over the bamboo handles and sew. That should do it.
