So, this isn't a craft involving Jewelry or Trinkets, but since this is the discussion board, I figured this would be a safe place to post some really awesome links I knew my fellow Craftsters would love Cheesy.

Lately I've been getting more and more interested in Japanese fashion culture and trends- Harajuku, Gothic Lolita, and generally all things sickeningly-kawaii, and sometimes bizarre- and I have found two websites with THE coolest gear for decking out your phone to limits even most of us Craftsters haven't fathomed. See below, and enjoy!

1) The Japanese website, Strapya World (all in English, thankfully... http://www.strapya-world.com/) has the most outrageously-cool selection of cell phone charms I have ever encountered. They literally have so many charms, it could take several solid hours just to sift through most of them. The prices are reasonable, and the selection is wacky, cool, and very inspirational for crafting. Here's a tiny preview:

Mini Plants in a Jar: http://www.strapya-world.com/categories/12_3202_3732.html, http://www.strapya-world.com/categories/12_71_1170.html

Adhesive, Removable Cell Phone Camera Lenses: http://www.strapya-world.com/categories/12_646_1521.html

Beaded charms that detects levels of UV rays: http://www.strapya-world.com/products/28386.html

A Cute Pink Seal- that's actually a stun gun (it only gives a tiny jolt, though!): http://www.strapya-world.com/products/20057.html

Cell Phone Alarm- for those of us (me!!) that forget ours constantly: http://www.strapya-world.com/products/3460.html

I've never personally ordered through the site, but I found the link from another website that's very reputable. Tons of fun to look at, anyway!

2) I found this article through the online mag-for-Americans-who-live-in-Tokyo (as far as I could tell), PingMag, about a newer trend in Japan of decking out cell phones (and even Nintendo DS's!) above and beyond just rhinestones- called dekoden, or
'decorated phone.' Think tiny cupcakes, faux whipped cream, and 3-D fabric flowers (DIY heaven!!!) You can find links to the actual Japanese retailers through the article: http://pingmag.jp/2008/09/18/decoden/
