Okay, this is my first FO post so be kind.

Yes, he's cute, no he's not mine, he's my bosses grandson. ( It's not weird ...I work for a small family-run business so he's pretty much my nephew)

I knit the sweater using the "scoop" pattern from Knitty, using different colors and leaving out the intarsia. I embroidered the logo and the letters and numbers for the back freehand.

In the end the crafts you take are equal to the crafts you make

Absolutely Adorable!

I've lived near HockeyTown all my life and we are all huge hockey nuts!  The emblem embroidery is great....where'd you get/create it?

You could sell these like hotcakes here in SE Michigan!

I think I will have to make one of these for my daughter because my husband is a huge Detroit fan!!
I would love to know more about how you did the logo on the front if you don't mind. That is that part that has always stopped me from doing anything Red Wing related.

Again, I love it!!!!

Thanks for the comments!

To make the logo, I printed a copy of the image and traced it onto water-soluble stabilizer. Then I pinned the design to  some white felt and basically just satin stitched all the spaces. It wasn't too hard, but the embroidery probably took as longer or longer to complete than the sweater itself.   Cheesy  BTW The yarn was microfiber Lion's Brand worsted.

The sweater is awesome.  I need to make a Flyers sweater.  My sister would be thrilled and it would annoy my brother-in-law to no end!!!!!!! HA
