So, here in NC it snowed for the inauguration. I can't tell you how disappointed I was to have to stay home with my family, watch the pomp and circumstance, aaaand make cookies! We decided to use the Obama campaign logo, because we are avowedly Democratic and liberal in my house. Also, we're big dorky political fangirls (well, my mother and I are. My father looked at us like we might be crazy- but he still ate them.) I've never actually tried my hand at cookie decorating, so I'm pretty happy with how these came out. They're just basic sugar cookies with a buttercream icing.

There are a couple of hearts and an "Eat Me" cookie in there, owing to the fact that I ran out of blue but still had plenty of red. Maybe someday I'll do a full set of Alice cookies- maybe to match my GothLoli Alice outfit.
