Have you ever tried using an old sweater and 'un-knitting' and then reknitting it into something different?  If so, what was your success?  I am a HUGE believer in recycling and reusing.

Those are cute and they look like they would clean very well!  My family always begs me for more knit dishtowels; I might try it with tshirts next! I really love the way those look

what a great idea! too bad I cant knit  Tongue

Ah, but you can knit! Wink

I've been meaning to make a few rag rugs from my old t-shirts, these would be fantastic to go with! Crochet with a huge hook is great for hardy kitchen/bathroom rag rugs. I'm thinking about making a t-shirt quilt out of my old shirts I love, but just don't wear any more.

The dishclothes are brilliant!  I keep trying to think of other used for the t-shirt yarn but I'm so astounded by dishclothes that I can't.  Smiley

I have a placemat under my dogs food and water dish - this would be better, nicer, and more of a 'homey' look, using knitted t-shirts.

I like the idea of a bag knitted from this.  It would be fairly stiff when it was dry, wouldn't it?  And strong, I would think ... hmmm ... how many t-shirts do I want to get rid of ... Wink

I'm a little late finding this post  Cheesy but I love the idea! In fact, there's a tshirt I've been meaning to toss in the Goodwill pile that I'm going to go home and cut into strips tonight instead! Thanks!

I am soo gonna have to try this.  I have so many baby clothes and kids are growing like weeds.  This is such a great way to re-use.
