I called it this b/c I was using colors to match our nursery theme (Fisher Price Rainforest) but then thought what a lovely present it would make as part of a layette for my friend.  So here's the blanket and the things i made to go with it.  Pattern links are posted with the pictures

I added 'special' trim around the base of the hat. This is a good 'winging-it' pattern

Mary Jane Baby Booties

I added flowers like those in the pattern for the hat.

I had a really hard time with these for some reason....perhaps a little C-ADD (crafty attention deficit disorder )

Since my girls actually nap (knock on wood), I am going to start trying to work off my negative feedback.  Life got hectic with their early arrival.  I apologize for the inconveniences my flaking caused.

thanks girls!  I've been trying really hard to get better at crochet.  Now i am becoming a lot mre confident and trying more difficult patterns or trying to mock my own.  The positive feedback means a lot b/c then i know I am headed in the right direction!

Ya know, I know someone who wants to use these colors for her wedding. "turquoise and lime green" or as she puts it, "Turquoise/teal/aqua/pool and lime green". I was skeptical but now I am not. Beautiful!
