Thank you so much for the compliments!  Although I did have thoughts of stopping when I was making (you know that little voice... "Oh, just stop!  Go buy the damn coat that you saw....") but I'm really glad I didn't.  In fact, I want to make more!  I love crazy over-the-top coats, and I'll never buy another coat again!!!!  Well, so I say now...

I was at JoAnns today, and I was wrong about the buttons; they are not La Moda, they are JHB.  But they are still regularly stocked, though.  As for sewing through the thick materials, it was tough.  I used a walking foot to help, and I had to screw around with the tension for a really long time to get it right.  Lots of thick thread and heavy duty needles were sacrificed....  Tongue

Thank you all again for the wonderful things said!

This is AMAZING!! You did a fantastic job dear. The matching of the plaids, the attention to detail...just awesome. I'd totally be willing to pay big bucks for a coat like that if I saw it in store Smiley

I'm totally in awe.  I read a reply, went back to the pictures... read another reply.. back to the pictures.  Repeatedly!  You must have spent hours and hours working on this, but I have to say, it was well worth it.  Your attention to detail is AMAZING!  The way the plaid lines up.. in every single picture blows me away.  The yoke in the back, the tabs, the buttonholes.. EVERYTHING is sheer perfection.  I'm humbled by your talent!
