Great stuff recently everyone! I feel rather behind... but now that classes are over I think I'll have some more time for crafts.

Here's #17, embroidered shirt for stitch81 for the decorated shirt swap.

#18 is also done, but I'm waiting for confirmation that my partner has received before I post it.

May Gallery of Completed Projects

I was perplexed when I received the burnt orange cotton print inspiration fabric, but I think this is my favorite square so far. I just happened across the vintage reproduction yellow fabric while tidying up my small fabric stash and it looked fabulous!

We travel with our dog every few months, and I was getting really sick of toting around her stuff in an increasingly worn paper shopping bag so I finally did something about it. I tried to whip it out in the day and a half before we left for Easter, but it busted my machine with all it's layers. Once I got my machine repaired, it was a breeze to finish because all I had to do was top stitch the liner into the outer shell - just in time for a trip to my parent's for Mother's Day.

In addition to the travel bag, I also sewed up a couple pouches to hold her food and treats so we wouldn't have to waste a tupperware or ziplock. What can I say, my dog is stylish and green!

Project # 21 - April Quilt Square

I'm happy with the result of this square as well, though perhaps I should have chosen a different fabric for the upper right whirly gig. I still like it. I mean you cannot go wrong with blue, brown and cream, right?

I can't believe I'm doing so well. 21 projects completed in 21 weeks is awesome! Especially when I came so close, yet far enough not to make a last minute stride to finish last year. I even have 2 other projects started, both more time-consuming (a knit shrug and a quilt square comprised of 1.?" yo-yos - which in my calculation I'll need 49 for a square times 2 squares).

Are any of you gals using flickr? I was thinking of creating a "50 in 2009 Challenge" group. Would anyone be interested in adding to it when you upload your pics?

Love the idea of the bags for your dog
I have two dogs and when we go in the car I just stuff things in a carrier bag too - but now you have inspired me to make somethin more suitable.
Thanks ;0)
