Thanks thelastkodama and AbbyRose! It is a great site with all sorts of instructions. I really like that project because it made me break out of my usual style and learn a little more.

March Gallery of Completed Projects

You can not imagine the frustration it took to make this hat. 4 attempts and the end result is still just a tad too big. It was my first lace work and I learned the hard way that it is not good to try and knit lacework while doing anything else, except maybe blinking and breathing.

After the struggle of making Foliage, knitting up this second Meathead was welcome. I don't tend to make things more than once and typically when I do, I end up hating the pattern. Not true for Meathead, this will definitely remain in the gift arsenal (along with Saartje Bootees).

My friend and I are collaborating on a quilt to help bridge the thousands of miles that separates us. We got a bit behind at the start of this year, but we definitely made strides in catching up in March (though we fell short).

Another hat disaster befell me in March. I had to make my own modifications to a pattern so the hat would fit a 7 year old, but I didn't make the correct commensations for the superficial flap. So it turned out huge, especially since it is knit in chunky yarn and has a giant button on it. I'm thinking before Christmas, I'll end up reknitting it, just so the poor little girl doesn't develop neck problems from my hat.

Project #13 - February 'One for Me, One for You' Quilt Square[/url]

Impressed myself by figuring out how to use a piece of fabric that was too narrow to get 2 full size background pieces cut from it and piece together 2 proper size squares without needing to purchase more fabric. Yay for Math! And Destashing!
