I claim Jadeye for atc kit/ephemera, cards/stationery.

(edited to remove)Well, hello!  I claim Claire313 for oodles of various supplies and some old maps.
(and edited to change)_
This is my first second of three claims this round, 0 sent, 0 received.

I am a working mom from the Chicago, IL USA suburbs.  I have a 17 month old son who is the light of my life.  I love glamour, fashion, humor, news, current events and foreign cultures, and I'm always trying to learn new things, especially art/craft wise.  I really really wish I knew how to knit, but I just can't seem to find the time to take it up and stick with it.  Lately I have been making ATCS with vintage maps, fabrics and images and I love trading them.  Feel free to check out my profile for more info!

- Cute Knitted Toddler Hat (lot of ideas on my wists!)

- Knitted mittens or scarf

- hat-and-scarf-in-one combo, any medium

- Embellished Onesies or Baby Tees (size 3T) - lots of ideas on my wists

- Something from my wists, or any surprise based on my profile

- Cute cushions or cushion covers

-Something related to Minnesota Vikings football for my husband.

- I would LOVE to receive anything with a "legal" theme (e.g. scales of justice).  These could be potholders, a tote, pillows, sculpture, glassware, anything.

-scrap caddy (one of those fabric baskets to hang over the edge of the sewing table to catch scraps.)

-fabric bowls or any sort of organizers

-baskets, catch alls, etc.

-laundry bag

-handmade soaps

- japanese cute fabric

- amy butler fabric

- fabric markers or other fabric embellishing stuff

- polymer clay kit

- melt and pour soap

-inkpads for stamping

- rubber stamps - (I resisted these for so long, but I'm starting to collect some cute ones...stars, swirlies, anything that would be cute for ATCs...nothing country or traditionally scrapbooky)

- fabric for needlepoint or embroidery

- ballpoint sewing needles (machine or hand)

-acrylic paint, any color
- scrabble tile pendant kit, or any supply for making them

Extras: vintage craft books/mags, glue sticks (not hot glue, the kind that is like elmers in stick form), chipboard, anything law related, ATC embellishments

Thanks for choosing me!!!!

I claim mimik for ATC goodies, acrylic paint, glue sticks and maybe some other surprises?

This is my first of 2 claims for this round, 0 sent, 0 rec'd.

I'm Hannah, 18 from Canada. I'm a vegetarian with no allergies (except dust and mold), from a non-smoking household. I have a dog but he doesn't get near my crafts ;]
My favourite crafts to do are painting, scrapbooking, sewing, jewelry making. I want to get into embroidery, knitting, crocheting, and using shrink plastic.
I am in love with anything delicate and vintage. I love all of the time from the early 20th century to the 1960's. I'm obsessed with Paris, France, Marie-Antoinette, and all things French, the tv show Mad Men, Audrey Hepburn, Anna Karina, film stars from the golden age of Hollywood and the French New Wave, religious imagery like the Virgin Mary, baking, polar bears, birds, florals, etc.

If you ever need any idea of the things I like, my wist should be more than helpful: http://www.wists.com/hannahkarina

Colours: Yellow, shades of pink, pale green, lavender, dusty rose, black, white, gold, ivory.

Scents: rose, chamomile, jasmine, mint, coconut, vanilla, honey, lavender, light florals, sandalwood, white musk, etc.

Images/ideas/themes: 1960's!, Mad Men, Audrey Hepburn, Anna Karina, mod, psychedelia, glamour, old Hollywood, Marie-Antoinette, France, florals/flowers, Pushing Daisies (the tv show), ribbons, lace, Catholic imagery, delicate things, over the top extravagance, decadence, etc. etc. :]
I don't like dark or bold colours like orange, burgundy, dark forest green, etc. I don't like flames or skulls or any harsh patterns. I don't like anything from the 70's or 80's very much. The 50's and the 60's are my thing! I think my wishlist and the things on my wist give a pretty clear idea of the things I dig. :]

(*** indicates a "super wish"!)

- Artwork, prints, cards inspired by  Audrey Hepburn, France, Anna Karina, the 60's, Mad Men, etc. etc.

- A felted polar bear like: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=10868291

- Handmade jewelry. I love delicate necklaces, as well as bold statement pieces (like: http://www.wists.com/hannahkarina/9780513cbd9254ca8d1c499b295d9f1d) charm bracelets, earrings, brooches that have a vintage feel. Some examples:  1) http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=8460583

- handpainted ceramic teacup or teacup and saucer with pretty design. Example: http://www.wists.com/hannahkarina/c9a1996deb2cc57edb2b997183e0477d
I collect vintage teacups too, I like floral patterns.

*** - Handmade hats, headbands, headpieces, barrettes, hair pins, fascinators, etc. I am obsessed with extravagant vintage style hats with feathers and veils! There are so many examples on my wists, here are some favourites. 1) http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=9684275

- Recipes for desserts! Even if it's just printed off the computer, I love to try new ideas so I'd love to get your recipes!

*** - Vintage knick-knacks - cute kitschy animals and vintage Avon perfume bottles or vintage beauty/powder/rouge compacts - I collect!

Velvet Rose
« Reply #43 on: January 06, 2009 03:19:38 PM »

I claim jadeye for small note cards to put in swap packages. This is my first claim.

I live in Sydney, Australia and am addicted to swapping.

My first love is feltmaking, but I'm taking a break from this at the moment. So I'm currently exploring papercrafts - in particular scrapbooking and altered art.

I prefer natural fibres and fabrics to synthetic ones (for environmental and tactile reasons). The fabrics I like the best are vintage florals (pre 1970), vintage brocade/damask (not the modern poly-cotton stuff!), baroque/rococo style prints, cotton velvet, botanical prints and fabrics with silhouettes of leaves or branches/trees. I dont like stripes, spots, plaids/checks, skulls, country/cutesy, or disney/anime stuff.

I love berry shades, dark reds, muted pinks & purples, leaf green, and chocolate brown.  No neons or black please, and I'm not too keen on yellow, orange, navy or aqua.

Please see my profile and wists for more info.

Purseket/Purse organizer
I would love one of these to help me find things in my purse. It needs to have pockets for my phone, notepad, wallet and tissues plus a few more. Please see the About Me section above and my wists for my fabric preferences.

Crocheted cotton purse
I would love a small crocheted purse made from cotton yarn with a shoulder strap & flap - big enough to hold my wallet, keys, & phone when I go on walks around the neighbourhood. One made from granny squares would be nice. See my colour preferences above.

NEWCrocheted cotton drink bottle holders
I would love crocheted cotton drink bottle holders with a carrying strap for my children's water bottles. Both bottles are 750mls in size. My daughter likes reds, pinks and oranges and my son likes blues and greens. (No synthetic yarns please).

NEWLarge fabric pouch/envelope
I need a large fabric pouch/envelope sized at least 9" x 13" to carry documents around in. It can have a flap or a zip. See my colour and fabric preferences above.

NEWDrawstring bags
I would some cotton drawstring bags to carry my shoes and underwear when I go on vacation. See my colour and fabric preferences above.

Crocheted Cotton Flowers
I'm collecting crocheted flowers made with cotton yarn in all colours except neons, black, brown and dark blue. I would particularly like shades of pink to go on a crocheted tote bag I received in another swap. If they've got leaves that's even better.

Knitted Woollen Socks
I would love a pair of pure wool hand knitted socks in any of the berry shades. I'm not really into stripes but a variegated yarn would be nice. Shoe size is US 9

Screen/gocco printed cards
See my wists for ideas. I love botanical prints - modern or vintage inspired.

- made from cotton crocheted flowers in chocolate brown, plum, purple or rose pink
- made from vintage cabs in shades of dark brown, dark pink, red or purple. See my wists http://www.wists.com/enchanted_wool for some ideas
Please use silver findings as my ears are allergic to nickel.

Crocheted cotton market/shopping bag
One that folds up into its own pocket. See my colour preferences above and my wists for examples

Crafted items from my wists

- anything by K & Co (but especially Ancestry, Blue Awning, Bailey, McKenna, Verbena, Peabody, Addison, Cut and Paste).

I claim claire313 for the steampunk ring, some fabric and a tea-themed item.

This is my 2nd claim (1 sent, 1 received) and I am in the U.S. Here's a mini-bio with more info than you'll ever want.

I'm 33 and live in the lovely state of Michigan with my wonderful husband and our beagle, Snort. Snort's idea of the good life is eating, sleeping and eating her own poo. She's my fur-baby, and while we don't treat her like a human child, she is a member of our family.

I own an asphalt company along with my Dad and work about 70-80 hours a week in the summer, so I basically have no life, including crafting, from May through the end of October.

I'm a flittering crafter, I like to try everything once and the things I really enjoy, I keep up with. My current favorites are making jewelry, knitting (my first adult sweater is on the needles and it's getting really hard to keep going yep, its still on the needles a year later!) and papercrafts, though I'm trying to get back into watercolors and really need to start using my pottery wheel again. Things I'd really like to try are resin, crochet, and needle felting.

I like sarcastic wit and jokes that make you think, and I seem to be experiencing a renewed love for the '80s. Favorite tv show of all time is The Office and favorite movies are Real Genius (with a very young Val Kilmer) and the original Willy Wonka (c'mon, a movie all about candy!) Favorite colors are ocean-y colors (greens & blues & browns) and jewel tones (ruby, emerald, sapphire, etc.). Im also digging the black/white/grey combos lately.

I love anything to do with nature and waterfalls are my favorite places to check out. And my favorite food in the whole world is donuts. Best flavor explosion - a fresh, hot, plain cake donut, straight from the oven with a glass of apple cider. I dislike mean people, people who are stupid by choice, soy sauce, political campaigns, and having religion preached to me without an invitation.

Please feel free to look over my wists as I like everything on there, its updated, and wisty surprises are fun, fun, fun!!! Thank you so, so much to anyone who chooses me!
