*IMPORTANT PM INFO*: When sending PMs, please label them as OWS 42 with one of the following tags:
Package sent
Package received

So when sending the questionnaire, the subject will read OWS 42 Approval. When notifying us about sending and receiving packages, add the corresponding tag. If you just have a general question, label it as that. This will keep things organized for us!
When sending a sent/received PM, please include the 'Send by' date so my craziness will stay at a minimum.

Please bookmark this thread and/or post here. All updates will be made here and this will help you to keep up with everything.

How This Swap Works:
Please READ CAREFULLY! This swap works differently than most!

Try to imagine a chain.  The first link is the first person whose wish list is on page 1 (Person A) - that will be the craftster member who was the very last wish list from Ongoing Wish Swap 41.

Now, we want to put another link in the chain.  People will read that list and see if there is something they want to/can make from the list.

Someone (Person B) will claim Person A for some item on their wish list.  They post a reply to the thread that says I claim Person A for [item].  This is my X claim (however many times they have picked someone for example, "this is my fourth wish, with one sent, and three received, (meaning that this is the fourth claim they've made, one is in transit to it's destination, and three of the items have been received by the people they previously claimed).  Also add your location, and any preferences or aversions I live in Wisconsin USA, I am a vegetarian, and I am allergic to wool.

IT'S REALLY IMPORTANT THAT YOU REPLY WITH YOUR STATUS WHEN YOU CLAIM SOMEONE!  This means you need to post who you are claiming and for what, how many claims you have made, including how many in transit and how many received, and your location/preferences/aversions.

Then comes the fun part!  After the introduction, Person B is the last link in the chain, and they post their wish list!!!  YOU CAN HAVE AS MANY ITEMS ON YOUR WISH LIST AS YOU WANT, HOWEVER YOU MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF SIX.  THE MORE ITEMS YOU LIST, THE BETTER YOUR CHANCES OF BEING CLAIMED QUICKLY.

(Please have your list ready, this swap moves very quickly!  Please include your country at the start of your wish list). Person B will also PM Person A to get her address so they can mail the item when it is finished.

Along comes Person C, who claims Person B for something on their list and the chain is built, link by link.  (If Person C wanted to make Person B a purse AND a stuffie, that would still count as ONE WISH.)  Then they post their list, and so on.

When you want to make a claim, you can ONLY pick from the very last wish list in the chain.  You can't pick anyone else in the chain - you can only connect to the very end of the chain, which is that last wish list posted.

After you have made your claim, you need to PM that person for their address.

Friends of Craftster are allowed 3 wishes at one time, others are allowed 2 wishes.  If this is your first swap, you are only allowed one wish until your craft is received for this month.  Do not choose over your given limit.
If you already have one claim that will be sent out late, please don't claim again until that one is sent out.

Become a Friend of Craftster!  Go here: https://www.craftster.org/subscribe.php

If you are at your limit of wishes, you can choose again once one of your partners receives, NOT when you send.
***Do not claim someone unless you can fulfill that wish to a high caliber***

Let's keep the quality high here. I don't want to receive PMs with people concerned over the lack of quality of their items.  Please, just work your hardest to keep the bar high on the quality of items here!  Don't choose just for the sake of choosing; choose to make someone else a really AWESOME wish!

Now if the thread gets in a rut for a few days/hours, the person who made the last wish should add to their list if they can think of anything else, until someone decides to craft for them. Please make sure this is not you!

Unsure of where to find wish ideas?  Try the previous ongoing wish swap galleries or any other gallery on craftster.  Look through your fellow crafters wist lists.

( the medium can be a couple small items etc as long as it adds up to a medium )
( A medium item equals two hours of crafting time or 20$ worth of store bought items )

Please be communicative if you are having any issues. If you communicate you still need to send your item in a timely manner.  Communication does not mean you can send as late as you want.  After one week past the deadline you will have negative feedback.  This is only temporary as it will be changed back once you fulfill your obligation for late item(s).  Do not choose to craft an item if you do not think you can meet these deadlines.

I will be giving feedback in the following way:
-  great swapper: for those who follow all the rules
-  good/poor communication:  where applicable
-  sent late/early: where applicable
-  no dc number: failed to comply with the rule about using a delivery confirmation number for packages within your own country
- didn't post pictures: failed to post pictures of what they received without an adequate explanation to their partner
- did not follow item amount rule

If you are confused in any way by how this works, please look at some previous rounds:

Heres the first list up for claims this round! Happy New Year

I claim girlosun_9 for wisty inspired cards with envelopes

This is my fourth claim, 1 received, 1 sent

I am from Ontario, Canada

I'm a 36 yo SAHM with 4 kids living in Acton, Ontario trying to fit my art-making in between dinners, naps, university and playdates....my favorite colours are black, red, purple, cobalt.  I really dislike pastels.  I adore skulls, greenmen, cool stripey-legged dolls, medieval stuph, and general goth-y goodness.  I love ephemera, embellishing, and anything old and crusty....yum!!! But duct-tape and I are in a "business, not for pleasure" relationship...I use too much of it around the house to fix stuff

Here is my list:

Something inspred by my wists (www.wists.com/bhean)

Crafted stuph:

- a goth purseket (purse organizer)https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=48982.msg450364#msg450364

- 50's or earlier magazines

- Unusual Toys for You to Knit and Enjoy booklet by Jess Hutchison - I'm hoping I haven't missed the boat on this one.

- anything from Hannah Grey

- PMC - OMG is this stuff so cool or what  (Instructions would be really useful too)

- Japanese crafting books or mags - even not in english is ok

- Jim Holtz Grungeboard

- strange found objects, I make art from small old ceramic dolls, decaying metal objects, old enamel signs, printing press type and etched blocks, etc...anything old and weird looking like Michael Demeng uses http://www.michaeldemeng.com/gallery.htm

- Waldorf doll-making kit Thanks poerava!!

Thanks for choosing me!!!!

I claim pinupmommy for a crocheted totoro stuffie.

1 claim, 0 sent, 0 received

Hello, My name is Julie.  This is my first OWS, so please correct me gently if I make a mistake.  I live in Ohio (USA) with my husband and two boys.  We live a very quiet life and I like it that way Smiley  I like all sorts of colors, you'll get an idea of the combinations I like if you look at my wists and my favorites in my profile.  I have no allergies.  I don't really like strong floral scents, but if it smells like yummy deserts in a kitchen I love it.  I also like to wear citrusy scents.

Here's a sample of things I covet:

I claim teachingjonah for a sandwhich wrap and a tea wallet.

This is my first claim of three allowed, zero sent, zero received.

A little bit about me: I am a 27 year old woman, wife, mother, daughter, sister, student, and special educator.  Family plays a large part in my life as does the outdoors. I live in Maine and we hike, bike, canoe/kayak, geocache, snowshoe, camp, walk, and do just about anything except for organized sports if it takes place outdoors.  I also like to read, play with my kids, host family dinners/events, and (of course) craft.  My favorite crafts are sewing (clothing for my children, quilts, bags/purses), scrapbooking (although I have taken a brief break from it for right now), crocheting, and embroidering.

Toddler Bonnet http://madebypetchy.blogspot.com/2008/06/free-pattern-toddler-hatbonnet.html for either my two year old (red and/or black or with Thomas fabrics) or my four year old (purple, black, pink or pretty much any color out there).  We would like the lining to be flannel or fleece or minkee as it gets a wee bit cold up here.

A pendant making kit (for the eldest, she loves making these) like this http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=15000148 or this http://www.makeandtakes.com/links/scrabble-tile-pendant-tutorial or this http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=14928442

I never thought I would be saying this (as our middle child was toilet trained at just over a year and our oldest came to us at 4) but cloth diapers to fit a two year old (30 pounds, currently is in a size 4/5 diaper as he outgrew all but a couple pairs of training pants).  Our two year old just isn't interested in toilet training.

Some fingerless mitts for me in supersoft yarn that isn't aryclic.  Blues, greens, browns, or grays would be great.

The Bella Mittens https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=280787.0

A super hero cape like this http://pukingpastilles.com/?p=57 for either my two or four year old.  Any color would be great.

Felt food veggies or sets (no pizza as we have a fabulous set and no meat cause that really isnt part of our meals but perhaps breakfast or sandwhich)

This hat http://www.rheatheylia.com/index.php?page=patterns&id=10 in blues, greens, grays, or browns.  I have a largish head/a bit of hair so it should be done on the larger size.

Anything from/inspired by my wist: http://www.wists.com/girlosun_9 and there are a lot of ideas here, please feel free to craft something you would like to craft!

Pendants-->there are many examples of my likes on my wist

This neckalce http://www.beadingdaily.com/blogs/projects/archive/2008/08/01/cerulean-falls.aspx  love the colors and design

And this is beyond huge but a person can wish: spaceship http://www.crochetville.org/forum/showthread.php?t=66029 Even better would be the pattern modified/used as inspiration for making a a hollow train with figures to go inside.

Handthrown cups/mugs for tea/coffee.

A dog biscuit (bone) shaped cutter.

A dancing rain doll kit-->16" Friendship Doll Kit, Girl, Light Skin, Straight Sandy Hair, Blue Eyes  http://www.dancingraindolls.com/friendshipkits.html

Diamond Glaze-->super big wish

Linen→Used or Thrifted pretty much any color

Anything from/inspired by my wist

linen double fold bias tape at least a 1/2 inch

(Wow, I got scooped on pinupmommy and then teachingjonah! This thread goes fast!)

I claim girlosun_9 for for the Flapper hat and some Diamond Glaze!

Claim 1, 0, 0.

I'm Jacquelyn, and I live in Wisconsin, USA. I'm a graduate student living with four cats, my boyfriend, and his thirteen-year-old. I started crafting about a year ago in earnest (inspired by Craftster, in fact!) and it's been a great way to procrastinate relax and de-stress.

I like: Natural fibers, earth tones and burgundy, recycled/repurposed crafts, anything that helps me live more greenly. I love anything pre-1950's vintage, going back to prehistoric times. Grin

I dislike: Conservative politics, synthetic scents, Red Heart yarn, cigarette smoke. I'm allergic to mold and mildew, but nothing else.

My Wishlist

A travel "dirty laundry" bag & some matching scented luggage sachets

Mittens in blue or green - ideally something cabled or with Celtic knotwork, like these from my Wist.

A handbag, like in the Queen Bee style (with natural motifs) - or something like this, this, and this.
Decorative throw pillows with natural motifs, perhaps like these.

Something to organize my necklaces, like this.

A crochet hook case (perhaps like the one in my Favorite Items).

Coasters (check out my wist for inspiration)

Cloth menstrual pads!!! (with snapping wings, funky or natural-themed flannel would be great!)

A teapot cozy

Felt, crocheted, or knitted desserts and/or fruits

A bookplate

A checkbook cover - I love this and this.

Felt or yarnwork brooches - something with a natural theme. I love this and the items in this store.

Reusable coffee clutch (fabric) ( like this).

An interesting pin cushion of some kind (felt, sewn, yarn - anything, really!)

Anything from my Wist!

Pottery mugs and accessories for my tea obsession

Buttons - especially fabric-covered, wood, or other large ones

A covered tape measure (knitted, crocheted, or fabric)

Natural fiber yarn - homespun or otherwise

Pre-1950's vintage magazines

Fabric - especially Japanese fabric (see my Wist) and Amy Butler-esque styles

Tunisian crochet hooks

Embroidery transfers

Craft books - especially Vintage Crochet, Kyuuto! Japanese Crafts!: Lacy Crochet, Interweave Press Crochet Motifs, Sailor Jerry's Tattoo Stencils, Doodle Stitching, The Crochet Answer Book, Vegan Cupcakes Take Over the World, and Sew What! Skirts.

A cake decorating tip set

Fiskars pinking shears

My name is Jessica and I live in Maryland USA with my family.  I am mom to three boys (5, 20 mo., and 3 months) and two naughty beagle mix girls.  I am also the proud wife of a police officer.  Right now I work outside the home as a lab tech for a genetics company and run an online boutique. When I get the chance, I love to be very girly and love bright colors.
