An ice cream lid might work, though the nice thing about plastic canvas is that you can buy it the same color (or close to) your yarn. I was worried about it showing through. Give it a try, though!

i started this hat a couple days ago haha. great minds..i was worried about it looking wonky (cause i'm always worried about hats i make looking wonky..there's nothing worse than a wonky hat) but yours gives me faith. i LOVE the brown, too (mine's hot pink =P)

It definitely looks wonky at first - keep the faith! It even looks wonky when it's done, and I was tempted to block it, but then it shaped very nicely when wearing.

I too am totally upset that they are taking the servers down to fix things. Why can't they just let things stay broken? I don't care if I can't move due to lag or if quests are bugged. If I leave my room my mom may make me get a job.

VERY ADORABLE!  I've never found a hat that worked for me, they always end up too big or too loose.  So I already downloaded the pattern and will be trying soon!   Cheesy
