I love your colours Jr Mint!  I made one Thursday night but it came out too small and I used a yarn that was too many short pieces (left over from an afghan I did) so I had too many ends to weave in and it was annoying.  So... I am going to start another tonight.

Okay, I am starting over on my square today.  I hope I can stay on track this time and not goof up like I did last time.  Undecided

@ halwaynowhere:  Those are nice colors you used.  I like the blues, nice and mellow.

Okay, everybody!  I'm so stoked!  My square turned out soooo pretty, and I can't believe I actually made it!

I'm bummed, though, because I'm to the "Measure work" part of the directions, and my square is exactly TEN inches (not 11 or 11-1/2 like it should be!).  I may just use 13A to finish the block and then try the whole thing all over again with a bigger hook next time.
Just make an extra row or two. I often need to add more rows to make my squares 12" and sometimes I need to skip rows.

In an effort to stop myself from making an entire blanket out of this square, I've started doing fillers:

i am having the same urges as you fantasticmo... that sounds way less creepy in my head! i am thinking probably will do a whole blanket out of these- using the teal blue with grey for some squares and magenta with grey for the others. of course, this might result in my doing twelve blankets! does anyone need a blanket?!

is it any coincidence that the word yearn is one letter away from being yarn?

I've started doing fillers:

fantasticmio!  You're a little speed demon!  I don't know how you make squares so fast!  I struggled for TWO DAYS (no exaggeration) to make one block (and it's not even right--yet).

worksuckscraftrules: don't think of it as too many blankets, think of it as a head start on Christmas presents!  Just do the math: 12 blankets divided by the number of cold people on your list. ^_-
