I'm very new to sewing, so these cases were a bit of a challenge for me... I think they turned out okay, but I'm not 100% happy with them.

The blue one was for my boyfriend for Christmas & the brown one is for my brother for Christmas (my family can't get our acts together by the 25th, so we're exchanging gifts on Jan 6th for eastern orthodox christmas. No, it's not a religious thing... it's a lazy thing. Smiley).

I had some issues with the edges. I like the lion much better than the blue bird. I modeled the characters from the book Cute Stuff by Aranzi Aronzo.

Let me know what you think! This is my first post, so if I screwed anything up or posted anything wrong, please let me know!!

Okay, now I can finally post bigger pictures!!!

Hey, I think you did a nice job.  If you don't say so, I would've never noticed that you're a newbie.

Thanks for your nice remarks! You can't tell from the microscopic pictures, but the edges don't really look too great. I didn't follow a pattern- I just kind of went with it- so I had a lot of issues and I spent many hours completing the cases (thank God for the seam ripper!!).

When I bought my machine, the company offered a free beginners sewing lesson... I still would like to take them up on that offer (when I find the time).
