I have all of these old composition notebooks from school that I didn't completely use up. Whilst pondering what to do with the paper left over at the back, I saw cassette.'s post with a coptic bound booklet and thought "hey... I could do that..."

A little while later, I found the perfect book at a second hand store, so I picked it up and made this notebook for my friend's birthday:

That's bound with embroidery floss -

I did one again for another friend for Christmas - it's one of her favorite books (and yes she is like 20).

I put a few pictures from the book on the front and back covers to cover up the old library markings (I got it used through bookmooch):

I bound up that one with this gold thread stuff that was kind of wonky to work with, but it came out pretty cool.

I recommend these as gifts, they're pretty easy to do! I learned from this video on YouTube.

I agree, the first one is fantastic and the others are great too. Your friends must be well pleased to receive them.

These are lovely, and any thing with Beatrix Potter in it has my heart.

Those are great, especially the cover for the first one! Now I know what to do with leftover paper from my notebooks.
