UPDATE 01/27/09:  I finally completed the pattern for this and posted it on my blog.  I didn't post the pattern here because the images get shrunk and it won't keep the proportions right.  So here is the link:  http://snazzlecraft.blogspot.com/2009/01/free-felt-food-pattern.html

I finally made my first felt play food!  I have been researching this since the summer and slowly been making my own patterns so that maybe one day in the near future I could sell this stuff on Etsy.  This first one was a bit time consuming so i hope they will go faster with more practice.  I handsewed all the food with two strands of embroidery thread and I just used that super cheap felt.

The sandwich includes: two pieces of bread, lettuce, tomato slice, bologna, swiss cheese, and american cheese.  The chips were pretty time consuming.  I took two pieces of felt and stitched lines running down it, evenly spaces apart and then cutout the chip shapes.  There are 15 chips and they fit nicely inside the chip bag.

I will try and measure the bag and sandwhich to give you all an idea of how smal/large these are.  To put it into perspective...my son got a play kitchen for Christmas and the sandwich fits perfectly on one of the plastic plates.

All right, you've waited patiently.  Now prepare for image obesity....

Everything looks so well made and is so cute. I especially love the chips and bread and lettuce.

Yay finally done moving!
