This is only the second piece of clothing I've sewn.

No pattern. I based it off a jumper that she already has. So I guess technically it had a pattern, but nothing for real. I used a half of a full length wool skirt that the husband picked up at the Salvation Army the other day. I think he paid $3 for it. I knocked out the dress in under 2 hours. Of course it took me another two to do the finishing stuff (flower, fleurchons, buttons, snaps) - mainly because I was trying to make some ruffles on my sewing machine and I couldn't get it to work - so I gave up on that after about an hour and proceeded to do all the finishing by hand. Gah.

I don't know if it will fit her or not. It's probably way too big. But I've accounted for that - I made a belt to go with it so we can cinch it in. Smiley
