I've been a long-time lurker, but this is the first project I've posted!

This is a card that I made for my brother-in-law. He is obsessed with clam dip and makes a big vat of it at every family gathering. To honor him (and his beautiful bald head), I immortalized the "Birth of Clam Dip" in this card-- modeled after the famous "Birth of Venus" painting.
I used my trusty waterproof black pen and watercolors.
Notice that my brother-in-law is holding a bowl of clam dip in one hand, and a bag of Ruffles in the other... as everyone knows, Ruffles are the preferred chip for eating clam dip.

Here's the original inspiration below:

UPDATE- Here is the Clam Dip Man himself! He is sporting a very fancy mustache in this picture!

Love it! That's hilarious

That's a riot!  It's immediately obvious that you're referencing Birth of Venus.  You started off with a bang, lady!

Wow! I'm so glad you think it's funny! I really appreciate the comments. I can't wait to see my brother-in-law's face when he sees it.
Where is my mind?

I'm flattered the JeniCat noticed the armpit hair! The entire drawing is about 3.5"x5", so the armpit hairs were very hard to make that tiny.  Smiley
I feel inspired to make more cards with friends and family members in famous paintings. Maybe an "American Gothic" next...
