first up: i finished my family's stockings! yay!

i searched for patterns but couldn't find any i really liked or could follow easily so i made them up on my own.

beanie for my youngest brother:

beanie for my middle brother:

made those up as i went too- beanies are so easy to make without a pattern...lol

ear warmer headband for a friend:

book mark for my boyfriend's mother:

one skein scarf from the happy hooker book for my mother's coworker (my mom asked me to whip up a scarf and hat set because she can't crochet... i'm still working on the hat and am using the divine pattern for that in the same yarn)

the yarn is lion wool ease with a iridescent strand of plastic spun in with it, its really pretty but my camer doesn't pick it up that well inside with flash)

*whew*. i still have to finish up a bolero and a blanket... in 3 days! just glad i got these all done:)

I like to make things...

WOW!  you've been busy!!  Those are awesome!  I need to make some beanies---I have three little boys and a husband who would probably like some Smiley  do you double crochet all the way or what?
I love that one skein scarf---great job on all that stuff!

Awesome gifts!  I haven't had much luck crocheting with instructions, let alone trying to make up my own.  You are truly gifted to just be able to "whip" these out and have them look so well.

do you double crochet all the way or what?

i start them out with single crochet as I haven't yet perfected a hat in all double crochet that doesn't start 'frilling'. I like to use single crochet but the yarn i was using is a sport-weight and it would have taken me 3 times longer to do it all in single crochet so i used double instead. lol. Half double is a nice in-between, and now that i think about it i wish i'd have used half double instead of double.

also, the brown hat is double stranded, the black and red hat is single stranded.
