One of my nieces brought over some old pants and a shirt and wanted me to make her a Booty Bag.  She loved the back pocket of the pants.

I took a look and found that to make the bag line up right I would loose half the back pocket.  So I pulled out the messenger bag patter my dear hubby made me.

Bag with flap closed

Flap up...the appliques are from the shirt she wanted as the lining.  And the back pocket is the ones she liked so much.

Back of bag with second pocket.

I used belt loops to hold the strap on.  I love how it looks, and my husband finding the thread they use on jeans makes it so easy to add items to my bags.

I did have to rip the zipper out once.  I did the bag inside out and was so worried about getting the flap on right that I did not look at the zipper.  Turned the bag and found that I had put it in upside down.  I should have taken a picture.

The inside pocket is made from the arm of the shirt...

She is coming over to get it today.  I hope she likes it....

****She loved it!!!  I am making another one for my niece that lives out of town.*****

This is the second bag this weekend, for my niece out of town...the embroidery on the bag is from the legs of the jeans I used for this bag.  Both my girls wore these pants for years, now they will live on...

After seeing the bags I did for my nieces I had a guy ask for a man bag...  so this is what I came up with...

I used some of the graphics from the man's shirt I used for the lining to add something to the outside.

Any feedback is welcome....

Those are all really nice bags!  Nice you made something different from the usual denim recon.  Well done!
