haha. I am really not a big fan of Hanson, but my friend is obsessed  Tongue Any ideas for a craft for her birthday? It's in a month or so, so I have some time. I was thinking maybe a hot pink pillow with her fave song lyrics written in black fabric marker?  But I would welcome any more creative suggestions. Thanks girls (and guys)!

Oh god, hanson.  Let me begin by saying that seeing them live 3 times...including once this past summer...does not make me an "obsessed" fan.  I think it's like a hangover rockstar crush from when I was 12, but I definitely still get jazzed being 20 feet from them.  Call me crazy.  Anyway, crafts...well, if it were me giving this craft to my hanson-obsessed fan (and yes, I do have one), I would shoot for subtlety.  Being in college, having a clock with three long haired boys who had their golden age in the nineties with a nonsense song would not be something I'd really dig.  If she's really obsessed...I mean, really...she'd appreciate the "little" fan things.  Taylor Hanson's birthday is in March...what about something involving march's birthstone (if he's her favorite)?  In junior high I had a fake aquamarine ring I wore every day because of him.  I don't have much to offer in the way of crafts for this project (stumped), but here are some fun facts a real fan would know and appreciate:
-they're from tulsa, OK
-their first cd was middle of nowhere; the next was three car garage; snowed in; live from albertane; this time around; underneath
-taylor's favorite candy is very cherry jelly bellys
-taylor is married and has a baby named ezra (can you tell who my favorite was?)
-zac plays drums mostly, tay plays keyboards mostly, ike plays guitar mostly

I don't know if that will help at all, but I thought it might be interesting to incorporate some fun, more subtle "fanatic" things into whatever you do.  Good luck!

oh geez, i used to love Hanson back in the day. I think your pillow sounds good.  someone suggested a clock, that would be nice. marble magnets are always fun, and they're easy and quick, too.

aaaaaaaand now i've got 'mmmbop!' stuck in my head.

I'm working on getting my blog up, check it out! Smiley

i dunno if this is too late...but i am a huge hanson fan =)

i msyself (and alot of other fans) make shirts with lyrics, and sooo many have made tote bags with the headphones cover of their latest album Underneath on it, if you stencil. however,i did mine with iron on transfer paper and it turned out great. you can get the picture of the headphones in the memories of the lj community hanson.

if you need specific ideas my email is meb1099@esu.edu, im always willing to help out in the name of hanson, haha =)

God I've been a hanson fan since 1996 and I still am. I'm working on reconstructing some of my older t-shirts of them and stenciling another. I'm such a goober.
