Ok, i tried my hand at the capri-sun thing.

I need to try this out again. Do have at least 20 empty cartons sitting in and around my room...(i'm addicted)

i'm just not too sure about what to do with the handles. In that one they are just electrical tape folded in half, and I'm not sure how reliable that is.
Anyone got any better handle techniques??

For the handles on my Capri Sun bag, I took a box and cut it in half vertically (in the middle of the straw foil) Then I sewed the two halves on top of each other, like a long strip.  Cut another box into two halves and repeat.  Then sew the openings on the strap closed.  For the next step, you don't have to do this, but I did this and my purse is really strong (I've had it since March)-cover the strap with plastic vinyl (it's sold at craft stores as stuff to help preserve things in storage).  Then sew the completed strap on the inside of the purse.

It's interesting that the Capri Sun pouches in Scotland look different from the ones in the US.
Why is that?

I like the bag... especially the choice in tape color.

my purse is different and sturdy if i do say so myself. well my purse has the handles made out of 4 baggies folded in thirds then all sewn together w/ clear string. its weird seeing ur purse w/ tape. guess i got used to mine w/ the seams. nice tho. ooh might i suggest making it more fun looking by using kool aid jammers instead of capri sun because they use more color. just an idea.
