I love the look of it rolled up like a flower

or you can wrap it once or twice around your neck.

I found this to be an easy and fun pattern.

I found this pattern on the Patons website last winter/spring and used it to make a scarf with two (or was it 3?) skeins of white Bernat Haven I found in the thrift store. I had to shorten the starting chain to make it work with that amount of yarn, but it came out very nice in the end. This pattern seems to work with a lot of different yarns. It's fast too--even with the frogging I had to do when I realized I didn't have enough yarn, it was quick--so anybody looking for a last-minute Christmas gift might want to try it. It would look cute rolled up like a flower like sukigirl74 did in a gift basket or little box.

Last time my sister was in town I had borrowed the happy hooker book from the library and she saw that scarf and had to have it. I am giving it to her this year for Christmas, its pink! I don't know how good this scarf will do for her because she lives in Wisconsin and it is a rather light scarf, but hey, its what she wanted.

Thanks guys....
It's funny about this scarf. I chose it because 1032 people made it on the Ravelry site
so I thought there must be something to this scarf.
And a lot of people ended up making more than one.
It's hard to explain but once you make one, you want to make another.
I guess it's like the potato chip commercial....bet you can't make just one.

horseygirl, I also first saw the pattern in The Happy Hooker but then for some reason
they made it free online.
wifeofbath, When I finished and rolled it up I thought of keeping it as a flower
but since I needed a scarf present I nixed that idea.
sunshine mama, I think you'll be very happy when you make it.
Jillian, I do think it is a great scarf for those not so cold winter days (do they have those in Wisconsin? Grin)

Very nice.  I also like that it resembles a flower when wrapped around itself.

Really well done.  I've made 3 of these, but none of them are as long as the pattern says...it's just a bit to long for the short folks like me, but  I love it!

I love this scarf. I'm sending my best friend a link to this thread so she can join in with you guys.

I don't know if this is possible, does anyone know where I can find a pic of the scarf that is from the Happy Hooker book? I want the original pic that has a black girl wearing it- because I liked the colors on that version, but I can't remember where I found it online ages ago!
