I didn't think there was anything wrong with the idea of sparkling vampires when I read the book, because it's nice to see something outside the cookie-cutter vampire cliche every now and then

I agree, glad she came up with some interesting explanations for the traditional vampire rules.  I love this sweatshirt!  I'm almost done with the fourth book, haven't seen the movie yet, but kinda afraid to, movies never do books justice.  No HBO for us, so I can't compare with True Blood.

What did you use for the sparkle?

I totally agree, real vampires most certainly do not sparkle.

I may need to make one of these to annoy my nieces, haha. Kidding. I tease them enough as it is.

Good job!

Although I love Twilight, I think the "Real Vampires Don't Sparkle" shirt is awesome!

As a snotty vampire traditionalist, I LOVE the real vampires don't sparkle text. Yeeeeah. Why isn't anyone kicking it old school?! I want vampires that are so OCD you can steal one of their socks and it saves your village. Sparkles! Pft!

So, clever shirt, I'm in love with the concept--but very good clean lines, too. Smiley I love the lettering you used, because it reminds me of spooky old horror film font. Is it freehand or did you use a font? (If you used a font, I want it. Hah. But I think it's freehand.) And despite the flash, I can tell that the word sparkle is in fact sparkling, and I love literal illustrations for things of that nature. I think the placement of the 'no' sign is good, too--visible, but it's small and not a huge obnoxious thing plastered over the whole front of the hoodie. Keeping the anti pop culture favorite sentiment fairly classy, that is... Smiley Super cute all around!

For the 'sparkle' word, I used gold glitter paint over white, and the font for that part of the shirt was Dark Crystal Outline, I think I got it at 1001fonts.com

My craft supply philosophy I stole from a line from AVP. ''I'd rather have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it.'' But, they were talking about a condom. Tongue

Anyway, im getting really sick of all the hype, everyone at school is obsessed. Blah. Tongue

Haha, I love this shirt.
I have to admit I am a Twilight fan,
but one of my friends has the same opinion as you do!

Would you mind if I took the idea and put the text on the back
onto a tshirt for my friend for her birthday?
