2008 Giftmas present for my b/f.

My boyfriend takes his blanket with him to the shower in the mornings because its starting to get cold so I made him a robe for giftmas. It is the perfect boyfriend cozy. And you'd think since I made it specifically for him I wouldn't want to steal it, like chicks always do with their S.O.'s robe. Guess I need to make my own...

Photos of me modeling and of it hanging... I'm 5'9" and about a 3X and this thing swallows me whole, he's about an XL/38-40 guy that's 6'2" that likes 2X/3X shirts, so I followed the pattern for the 2X (46/48) thinking it would be about right. It turned out much larger than I expected, but its a robe, I guess the more it wraps around you the better. I can wrap it around myself one and half times. hehe

Red contrast stiching for the top stiching.

Notes: I used McCalls M3019 (http://www.mccallpattern.com/item/M3019.htm?search=robe&page=5), I changed how the belt loops were done, added cuffs to the sleeves, and used contrasting fabric instead of being boring and going with only one fabric. Done in flannel and broad cloth. Woot!

Awesome robe!  It is always better for a robe to be too big than too small.

Lol yeah, its not much of a boyfriend cozy yet, just box filler for a few more days. I'm going to ask him for a picture if he'll let me take one. (;
