I decided to make something more me for the cold iowa weather and I came up with this

the skulls are from a graph i found ages ago, although i am not fond of how color changes look in crochet, too obvious and not precise *but I DO love my crochet, dont get me wrong*

but here it is

and here it is in goofy photoshop cause i was up late and feeling dumb

i am much better at crochet than i am at photoshop *does it show*

Love it!  You should do a matching scarf.  Can't show this to my GD.  That kid has me knitting and crocheting full time as it is!!

When doing the tapestry crochet, like you did with your headscarf, using a dark color for the detail and a light color for the rest the tapestry work doesn't show through as much.  I'd think it'd be the other way around, but apparently not.  Also, if you border the edges with one of the colors, it distracts from the any "bleed through". I have a couple of pot holder examples here:

I'm not doing personal swaps right now, but if you're interested, go ahead and PM me anyway--maybe we can work it out for later. Smiley
