CAT9 ------------ I love the Bloody Choker you made.  Would you be willing to share the pattern?

CraftyCarrie, do you crochet? This is the one I got the idea from:

But the way it was put together wasn't all that intuitive to me, so I did it quite differently than she suggests. I also used a crochet thread (instead of yarn) so it would look a little more delicate. If you want any other details, feel free to PM me and I'll type up what I did Smiley

Okay, I said I'd post tonight. I just didn't say that it would also be tomorrow.

I got the coolest package from Miss Whitney. There is so much awesome stuff I hardly know where to begin. There are going to be lots of pics so bear with me.

First up are White Rabbit and Rose brooches:

I told her I loved the image of the White Rabbit in his heraldic garb. Both are pins I can attach to my scarf which I shall post a pic of below.

Next is a pin made from a playing card (the Queen of Hearts, natch) and two pins with looking glasses. The background is a scarf with the Cheshire Cat stripes. I didn't get a great pic of it, it's kind of wrinkly since I've been wearing it nonstop all week. It's so warm and cozy and it goes with everything I have. I wore it to work and almost lost it to a jealous co-worker. lol I've been getting lots of compliments on it.

Then this lovely set of beaded earrings.

These keychains are so much fun. My particular favorite is Bill the Lizard and his ladder. Looks like Alice has given him the boot. Poor Bill.

And now for the most wonderful piece of all. A handpainted cup and saucer. The bottoms say "Alice in Wonderland Swap 2008"

Look at that White Rabbit! I swear, I had a tear in my eye when I saw him. This is the coolest piece I've ever seen. He's drawn perfectly and I especially love his little bunny feet.

A close up of the inside of the cup...

And a close up of the Rabbit...

I love this saucer so much. It's my favorite thing of all!

Thanks so much Miss Whitney. I can't believe you're new to swapping. You're amazing!

I'm almost embarrassed to admit this but all I did was click on Google images and type in "Alice in Wonderland - Dali" and took the pics off there from a variety of sites.

And I'm glad you like the Cheshire Cat. I like it so much I'm thinking of doing one for me.

Okay, I received from Twisted Truth today....my DC said it arrived this morning so I ran to the post office and had to convince the guy it WAS there. I received some awesome stuff!!
And I have not posted pics on here in years, so hopefully I do it right!

Crocheted teacup bookmark

Cross-stitched and framed alice and quote

Crocheted amigurumi doormouse! Isn't he cute!

Cake pops (they got a little mangled on the way over, but they were still quite tasty! HOpefully my brothers don't get a hold of them) they are chocolate covered hearts inspired by the painting of the roses... and a heart shaped cookie cutter

A crocheted teacup pincushion, which is perfect because while working on sewing stuff for this swap I realized I didn't own one, and I can't tell you how many times I reached into the litle container of pins and stabbed myself

A cross-stitched bookmark that says "curiouser and curiouser" with the cheshire cat on it...it is already in my current book im reading cause I was using a receipt

Last but DEFINITELY not least, a cheshire cat scarflet...its soooo warm..it is 3 degrees out today so I def could hve used on the walk over to the post office...I hope the pic is good enough that you can see the cute little brass button she used on it

And I woke up my bf with all my excitement of knowing my package was in the post office only a block away, so when I got back, I made him model it for me!!

Thanks for everything TwistedTruth, it is all awesome!!

Okay is it still yesterday? Cause I promised I would post pictures yesterday... better late than never?? Whoops!

So Rae-Mazings pictures of the smaller items do way more justice than my camera could do, so I got a goofy action shot of me with one of the bags and then all the bags... okay enough jabbering---
All the bags

Messenger bag alone cause it kinda slid out of the pther picture...

Me with same bag...

I need bottle cap earrings with pictures of my kitty. Will swap anything for them!!!!!!
