Well done. I'm a fan of anything with stripes, and I like the ruffles at the bottom and the lace around the neck Wink.

Stop being so damned positive. Staring at the sun only blinds some one. By only looking at the positive, you miss an entire beautiful world of shadows and colors. Don't be overly negative, be realistic. The world is so much more complex and beautiful that way.

Wow, that's lovely!  Please post action shots if you can.  And thanks for the hot lead - I wasn't familiar with Emilie Autumn but I like the sampling I'm hearing online.  I rely on you younger Craftsters to keep me on the Cool Mom List!!

This is just gorgeous! I't like to try making this dress myself, too, if only I could find a good fabric (pretty impossible in Finland). But anyway, it really looks like her dress, lovely!

yeah with that i found a similar problem with trying to find fabric. if i looked in the shops a few years ago i would not find any striped materials. you have to look in the shops often, and perhaps requesting it is a good idea and it might persuade them to stock it if a few people do the same. and being creative and innovative is important. i got around it by dying the fabric and looking in a few shops. i went to the big shop first and they didn't have it so i went to a small shop near my school and to my surprise i found cotton black and white stripes which i then got the idea of dying. because it's cotton it's easier to dye if you can try to buy a fabric in natural fibres.

emilie autumn is a musician, an occasional seamstress, author, i suspect she draws as well. she's a very interesting character and i think you'll find something to suit your tastes as her music is so varied. i love her.
