SO HERE'S THE STORY.  Lucky me, I got one of my really close friends for secret snowflake this year. Smiley  I don't know much about it personally, but he absolutely loves the Zelda videogames.  He started playing Phantom Hourglass (for the DS) after we met, so I modelled my Link after that version.  It's my first attempt at any kind of doll, and I'm pretty pleased with the end result. Smiley

It probably took me about 20 hours.  The entire thing is felt, and it's stuffed with rice, sewn in places and superglued in others.

Without further ado.  Here's Link... complete.

A couple detail shots:

BUT WAIT! What warrior would be complete without...

HIS SWORD AND SHIELD!  These are also felt, but wrapped around a piece of cardboard for strength.

The shield is red/yellow paint on white felt.  I'm pretty well more proud of that shield than the rest of the doll. Tongue

And the back:

And the packaging, all bundled up in a jar which received a minutely failed treatment of armour etch.

Thanks for looking, and happy non-denomination, politically-correct season's greetings to you all! ^.^

zomg!!!!! I love how the sword has a little strap in the back and how you put a snap on the back of his hand so that he can bring the shield in front of him (if that makes sense) and how he is so darn cute!!!

To prevent them from reading his mind, he wore a tinfoil hat at all times.

haha thanks everyone! Smiley It wouldn't have been as much fun if the sword and shield weren't removable! Cheesy
