My entry is a pj and bag set I made for my toddler.

My daughter is under two but just starting to be in the age where we might consider letting her stay all night with a relative. (Can you hear the "new parent angst" in my voice?) So I made her paisley pink Pajamas from a thrift store pillowcase set (and pj's for me from the sheets, but that's another post).  Then I made her a backpack to put her overnight stuff in. It will fit her pjs, a stuffed animal, and her toothbrush and maybe a change of clothes, a few stray cheerios....  She LOVES purses, backpacks and bags, anything she can loop over her arm and carry around.

I'l start with the embroidery on the Pj's. I'm insanely proud of it but I haven't a clue why.

The pj's, trimmed with yellow thrift store ribbon and various buttons. This is the first attempt at smocking. I love smocking!

Then the bag. I used an old  dress of hers cut off the top and flipped it so the hem was the top, cut a hole in the outside and embroidered a buttonhole and added ribbon for the closure. I added a strip of the pink paisley to match the pjs inside. Then sewed on some ribbon for the backpack.

And the bag modeled by Mistletoe the big white bear.

Oh, no, she's faaar to young to stay over with relatives yet. Must wait at least ten years. Wink Yep, I'm a parent, too. Lovely pyjamas.

Super cute! I LOVE paisley! (and don't worry about the whole sleep-at-relatives thing... Just pick the right ones for the first time and it's great for all involved. Smiley )

Those jammies are so cute, and I love your teddy bear model! I'm sure she'll have fun (and look adorable!) whenever she does sleep over with someone!  Smiley
