Swap name: December 2008 Birthday Swap
Craftster member who is organizing this swap: MareMare

FOR POSTING BIRTHDAY LISTS Sign-up date range:  December 1 December 23
FOR CHOOSING A BIRTHDAY WISH TO FULFILL Sign-up date range:  December 1 December 23
DATE TO SEND ITEMS BY:  2 weeks after you claim someone unless other arrangements are made ahead of time

Limited to a certain number of people?: No.
Restricted to people who all live in the same country? No.
You must be 13 years old to swap.

Swap Organizer himself/herself meets these conditions:
- Has fully read the Swap Info Guide: YES
- Has successfully completed two swaps as a participant: YES
- Is not organizing more than three swaps right now: YES
- Will recruit a co-organizer or give all details to a Swap Moderator if this swap has more than 25 participants: YES

Swap Organizer will check each participant to make sure they meet these conditions:
- Has been a member for at least one month: YES
- Has posted at least 15 times: YES
- Has completed one swap successfully before signing up for multiple swaps at a time: YES
- Is not currently signed up for more than five swaps: YES
- Does not have any negative feedback: YES

Details of swap:  This swap was organized so everyone can get something crafty for their birthday!  Please read the guidelines carefully.

1. This swap is list style, like the Ongoing Wishlist Swap, however it is NOT chain style. You can choose any birthday craftsters list that is posted, rather than only picking the last one.

2. This is a medium item swap. A medium item is defined as a craft or recon etc that takes you two hours to complete OR $20 worth of Store Bought Items. (If bought from a thrift store, estimate at what it would have cost new.) However you may also substitute a few small items for a medium.

3. If your birthday is in December, you can post your birthday wish list for this month. To do that, you must first PM me with the Swap questionnaire filled out and wait for approval.

4. Once you have been approved, you may post your list of things that you would like to receive. This is the format for your lists: First post your location and a short bio of yourself, then a list of crafted items you would like, then craft supplies (if any) and lastly you can put a few extras that arent crafted, things like candy or tea. Remember, the more items on your list, the more likely you are to be chosen. The minimum of items to post is 5. Also including your wists is a good way for people to get the idea of your likes and style. If you have any allergies please type them in red in your bio section.

5. Please post lists only in this thread. Discussion can be done here in the combined discussion/gallery thread: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=280740.0

 6. Every birthday participant must make at least one claim. You may have up to two claims at a time, and then you can claim again once your items are received (not when you mail out). New swappers may only have one outstanding claim, they may claim again after their first claim is received.

7. You may get claimed more than once, but your minimum amount to claim is one.  It is possible you may not get claimed at all. In this case you will not be provided a swap angel; angels are only if you get flaked on. However I do my best to make sure everyone gets claimed by keeping track of how many times each person is claimed. If possible try to pick someone who has been claimed 0 times versus someone who has been claimed 3 times.

8. If it is not your birthday but you would like to send a birthday present out you may do so. Birthday swappers who receive a present from a non-birthday swapper must send a snail mail birthday card. You will not receive feedback until I hear from the other swapper that they have received a thank you card.

9. When you choose to fulfill a birthday wish, PM both me (MareMare) AND the chosen Craftster At that time, please request the address for where to send it.  After that you have 2 weeks to get the item out the door.

 10. It is super important for everyone to keep good communication. It is REQUIRED that you PM me when you've sent and of course, don't forget the DC#. It is REQUIRED that when you receive, you PM me and publicly announce in the gallery (even if you don't have pictures). If I do not receive PMs from you when you send and receive, you will be left Poor Communication in your feedback.

11. When one of your items is chosen, please cross it out so that it is easier for others to see what has been chosen. It wouldn't hurt to thank the person at this time either.

Please make sure to put December Bday Swap or something equivalent in the subject line on all communications. The most important thing to me is communication. Please pm me when you send and receive, and please reply to my pms to you in a timely manner.

Hi, I am Amy, my birthday is Dec. 23rd (I will be 26, eek!).  I live in Raleigh, NC (USA) and am a SAHM of a 3 year old boy (my husband also works from home so we are about as homebody as you get, haha).
I sew, crochet, and embroider (and a few other random crafts).  When I am not crafting or chasing the 3 year old around, I like to read and play video games with my husband.

My wist - http://www.wists.com/amystagner
You can also check out my etsy favorites - http://www.etsy.com/favorite_listings_public.php?user_id=68901

Handmade Goodies

-Cloth grocery bags (I make them, but for everyone but myself, I only have a few so I would love some more).  I really like the singlet style ones (https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=177482.0), preferrrably lined in washable fabrics.

-Crochet Hook Roll/Book/Case/Carrier (that will hold LOTS of hooks in all sizes, I think S is my biggest) (a little pocket for stitch markers and a slot for scissors would be great too)

-Pair of fleece Pheonix Suns PJ pants (I <3 Steve Nash) (I would make myself a pair if I could find the fleece fabric locally) (message me for my size)

-WIP bag (with pockets/slots for scissors, hooks, etc... and a thread guide would be awesome!)

-I could use a new wallet (I have lots of cards, so I need lots of slots, I can send you a link to my current wallet which is just right pocket/size wise, I made it, I just don't have time/patience to make a new one)

-Art (Crafty related, birds/trees/seasons, videogame/movie related) (there are quite a few examples on my wist) (doesn't have to be a painting/drawing, could be papercrafted/collage, sewn, embroidered, etc...)

-Really anything sewing/crafting related (tshirt/tote/fabric/stamps/jewelry/stationary/stickers/magnets/buttons, etc) (I sew and crochet mostly)

-Also I am a HUGE Legend Of Zelda nerd, so anything LoZ related... (there are lots of things on my wist)

-Knit socks (I can't knit to save my life, but I love all the cute hand knit socks that people post all the time)

-Stuff for my kiddo (3yrs old, boy, train/superwhy/spiderman/mario&mariokart obsessed, getting a play kitchen for Xmas, so food/cooking items for that would be great) (he has his own wist and a list in the COWS)

-Ornaments for my tree (this is the first year that my husband, son and I have had the space to actually have a Christmas tree and we have no ornamnets), I would love ornaments in any of me, my husband's or my son's favorite things/hobbies/intrests... especially crafty ones for me... just ask and I can tell you what all we like to give you some ideas!

-Sewing Notions/Supplies - Double Fold Bias tape, D-Rings, Webbing/Strapping, Sewing Machine/Serger thread, Interfacing (any weight-heavy to light), elastic, velcro, patterns (vintage and new), etc...

-Embroidery supplies... Embroidery Floss/Thread (for hand embroidery, not machine), Stabilizer (Iron on/Water soluble, any kind works), patterns

-Crochet supplies (books, magazines, patterns, hooks... you can never have too many hooks!)

-Yarn (I especially like bulky yarn & cotton yarn, and I am kind of hooked on Vanna's Choice, it just crochets so nicely...) (not so much a fan of fun fur/novelty yarns or scratchy yarns)
-Fabric... Yardage/FQ/Scraps(usable sized scraps) (cotton-solids/prints, designer-A.Butler/A.Henry/H.Ross/J.Dewberry/
MODA/H.Bailey/M.Miller/etc..., cute japanese ones) (cute kids fabric, nothing too babyish, no baseball prints) (Pheonix Suns, Kansas Jayhawks, UNC Tarheels, GA Bulldogs, Kansas City Chiefs fabrics)

-Stamp carving kit (I would love to try carving some stamps of my own, I made lino prints and such when I was in school and loved it)

-Local Candy/snacks (especially things that you can't get in the States)

THANKS!   And Happy Birthday December Babies!

Before I start, I want to say Happy Birthday everyone! December babies need to be celebrated all the more given that we have to compete with one of the largest holidays of the year.

Anyway, my name is Emma and I'm going to be turning 23 on 29th. I'm currently living in Ann Arbor, MI with my boyfriend and his parents and spend practically all my free time either crafting, reading, or watching horribly addicting reality tv. I'm a really laid-back type of person, I don't wear a lot of jewelry. My boyfriend and I are planning on moving out soon so any sort of decorating/useful houseware stuff would be awesome; the walls will definitely need some loving with some artwork Smiley I love all colors, except pastels and neon. I love quirky animals/objects/anything. I love recycled craftiness, using found objects and materials and using it for a totally new purpose. I'm not allergic to anything that I'm aware of.

Here's my stalk links:

1. wall art - big or small I love it Thanks thanate!  Grin

2. magnet poetry (see my wist)

3. colorful quilt

4. some kind of funky hanging mobile - maybe with spoons or silverware. or something to do with birds

5. cool clock (this one is awesome: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=267288.0)

6. embellished cork board organizer

7. scrabble message board (i love scrabble - https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=72019.0)

8. a recipe book so that I can add recipes as i go

9. oven mitts! so i can teach myself how to cook hehe.

10. anything that would help me with organization - I am good at being messy

11. photo line holder

12. cool hat like this (http://www.wists.com/sheepblue/04801e7766c3ad79226775927cb16076)

13. surprise me! <<< Thanks SevsOnlyGirl!!  Cheesy

1. origami paper - i want to make this (http://foldingtrees.com/2008/11/kusudama-tutorial-part-1/) Thanks carnabystreet!!  Grin

2. contact paper for making wall decals (preferably black) something like this http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?ref=cat2_galley_7&listing_id=17832922

3. awesome decoupage paper (check out my wist for pattern ideas) Thanks carnabystreet!

4. stamping kit

5. mini wooden clothes pins (or similar clips)

6. any of the Sublime stitching patterns on my wist  Grin

7. Scrabble tiles

Hello everyone. My name is Sam, I'm going to be 20 on Dec. 10. I live in Reno, NV. I am a SAHM of a 3 year old boy, Collin, housewife, online psychology student and an interior designers assistant. I love crafting but never finish anything for myself. I love being organized but never am, but I'm close. I recently threw out almost all my clothes and I am starting over with a whole new style. I love anything 50's housewife/pin up. I love blues, greens, and black and sometimes pink. I love polka dots. I'm not allergic to anything but my husband and son are both highly allergic to a lot of different fabric softeners and laundry detergents. I love to read and study. I'm a major geeks. I can read binary and am as my husband would put it obsessed with Freud. Psychology is one of my main passion other then being a mom. I have a great sense of humor that is a bit bazaar and I am far from shy but I am a homebody. I am a major hopeless romantic and so is my hubby. I love quotes. I love different kinds of earl gray and black teas.
  • something with the lyrics to upstarts and brokenhearts, It mine and my hubbys songthanks bsonlytoots
or anything with the quote, we may not have it all together but together we have it all.
  • yarn, I love yarn
  • fibers I'm learning to spin
  • knitting needle, especially circulars and dpn but please no size 10s
  • stamps for my monster and washable stamp pads

Yo.  I'm from Seattle, my birthday is December 26 (meaning everybody forgets it Tongue) and I'm going to be 24.  Because my birthday is the day after Xmas, I'm a big Scrooge.  I live in an apartment with an awesome roommate and am a mommy to the cutest two bunnies and the weirdest cat ever.  I'm obsessed with sealife and birds, I love ugly and obnoxious colors, and I'm always crafting.  I'm mainly a knitter, but I also sew and I have dabbled in a little bit of everything from beading to paper crafts.

My wists link is in my signature, and gives a good idea of style of things I like.  You can also check out my craftster favorites in my profile.

I am vegan, allergic to latex (meaning anything with rubber), tea gives me migraines, and I'm sensitive to caffeine. If you have any questions, just ask!

+ An organizer for craft supplies I can hang on my wall.  I used to have a craft room, but I lost a lot of space when I moved into the apartment.  Something like these for my needles with some extra pockets for other supplies like x-acto knives, pens, scissors, etc.

+ Cat toys!  My Oliver's favorite toy is this nasty stuffed catnip rat that he killed about a year ago, but he's still playing with it.  It's about the size of an actual rat, and the outside looks like it was knit with eyelash yarn or something like that.  The stuffing is coming out of it and it's very sad.

+ Veggie Glycerine soaps.  I haven't had to buy soap in almost three years thanks to hotels and craftster swaps, but I'm starting to run out.  Oh no!

+ Embellished T-shirts.  My wists has some good ideas.  Basically, I love plants, birds, bugs, fish/sealife, and all that good stuff.  I wear a size small, and like pretty much all colors except white and pastels. Thank you sheepBlue!

+ Pretty art for my walls.  My living room is filled with 70's furniture, but everything else is theme-less.

+ A design notebook that I can glue in inspirations, sketches, swatches

+ Bracelets, necklaces, pendants.  My wists has some ideas of what I like.  Ideal necklace length is no more than 17", bracelet from 6" to 7".  Maybe a chain I could put a medical alert tag on?

+ Coasters (non-skidding please!)

+ A soft, warm scarf.  Not too long, since I'm only 5'2" Thank you CJKJ and Zelda.Suicide!

+ Quilting fabrics.  I'm working on a quilt made out of these fabrics (mostly the browns and oranges), but I need some fabrics that are "less busy" and would go well with the theme.  Of course, any other nice fabrics would be welcome!

+ Resin-jewelry kit: molds, hardware for installing loops, bits and bobs I could encase, empty squeeze bottles, the epoxy itself.

+ Random sewing essentials: buttons, zippers, interfacing, spools of thread, bias tape, velcro, hook and eye tape--you get the idea.  I'm good on pins and needles, so none of those.

+ Foreign stamps and/or coins

+ Men's ties.  I'm collecting these to make a corset and a ballgown.

+ Vintage knitting patterns and supplies.  I LOVE old stuff, especially 60's and 70's things.  I have a booklet of patterns from the 70's everybody else think are hideous and I love all of them. Thank you, thanate!

+ Sock yarn.  No new animal fibers (i.e., don't buy wool yarn just for me), but if you have some already and are looking to destash, animal fibers are okay.

+ Swedish Fish Cheesy
+ Sourpatch Kids
+ Sunspire Dark Chocolate Coconut bar
+ Vegan hot cocoa mix

Happy birthday, everyone!

I'm in northern Virginia, and my birthday is also the day after christmas (hi fishie!) although when I was growing up we always did birthday presents for my half birthday on June 26 instead.  I'm about to be 30 (hi CJKJ!)  and I'm a part-time archaeologist, trying to be a more than part-time crafter, and getting married at the end of April.  Also, I'm terrible about writing bios for myself.

I'm allergic to tobacco, so please don't claim me for unwashable fiber or paper goods if anyone in your home smokes (even outside).  Sorry!

Besides Craftster, I'm stalkable on:
*My wist is not as useful as you might think (because it's a list of things I like, not necessarily ones I want.  Although I use a "want" tag, as well)
*my etsy favorites (see link in signature) sort of pick up where my wist left off...
*this list has the kinds of things I like on it in no particular order, but if you're looking for favored colors or something, they're here

*art yarn (weird/handspun/interesting... I've got a few on my wist) short or experimental lengths ok Smiley

*cloth sanitary pads (PUL backed would be fantastic)

*a screen printed or stenciled shirt (ping me for size-- or just fabric to make something out of would be great, too) with line drawings or silhouettes of birds, dandelions, or bare tree branches on it

*something in tattoo-style embroidery (a la the tattoo swap a few months back) but not 50's style pin-ups, please

*knitted fingerless gloves or wrist warmers (the kind with a thumb hole)--claimed!  Thanks, fishie!!  Grin

*decorated magnets or push pins/thumb tacks

*handmade & naturally scented soaps (I prefer vanilla/nut/oatmeal sorts of scents to fruit flavors, although things like rose or jasmine are also nice) I also prefer a lighter scent to a heavier one...

*a simple-but-elegant purse suitable for formal occasions that is just large enough to hold a wallet, keys, and chapstick and has a long strap so that it hangs at hip length when put over the shoulder.  I'm thinking white, gray, black, or multiple colors of warm brown, but other colors could be cool, too.

*handmade paper

*a surprise!

*wood or bamboo DPNs (I have a sets in size 8 and size 0, so anything else) or wood crochet hooks, any size claimed! thanks, addicted2knitting!! Grin

*a jar (or other container) of whimsies, particularly vintagey ones (metal bits & charms, interesting buttons, etc)

*needle felting supplies

*interesting yarn (if you've got a big handful of too-small-to-make-anything-more ends of skeins, that would be fantastic, actually)

*vintage handmade lace (stained is totally fine)

*opaque seed beads

*nature-themed or old fashioned (victorian/edwardian/art Nouveau) rubber stamps

(possibly more to come!  and I would be happy to get an extra of interesting tea, weird candy, or exciting chocolate.)

Hello Christmas babies! I live in Michigan and have a DH and 2 grown (and wonderful) children. I am addicted to knitting (tee hee), and I am turning the big 5 - 0 this year.  I'm incredibly ambivalent about it; happy to be alive as it were, but concerned that I have lived more than half my life already and have so much left to do!  My birthday is December 24 and my parents were always really great about the celebration.  We always had a special meal and lots of family to hang out with.  I got presents wrapped in birthday paper, too.

Since I'm getting old, I don't really need anything, but I do enjoy a few things, so here goes:

Crafted wishes

Silly or fun pendants, brooches or badges.  There are examples of things I like on my wist.

A rendering of my jack russell terrier in your favorite medium (pencil, watercolor, embroidery, collage, applique, etc!).  I have received a drawing and an applique -- I will treasure these forever and since I adore my little doggie (Haily) I could have a thousand different "portraits" of her and not be tired of them!

Handmade pottery, especially mugs or bowls.

Holiday placemats - would love 7 of these, but they don't have to match - so this could be claimed by lots of people!

Drawings (or watercolors, or embroidery, etc.) of trees in winter.

fabric covered thumb tacks -- I LOVE these!

Notecards or stationary.  I love nature themes, earthy colors especially those that evoke water, snow, blue skies, the great lakes, etc.

A "poster" for my office that says "Pick flowers, not fights!" any media, any size.  I am a middle school assistant principal and I am always looking for interesting ways to sell "peace!"

A portrait of my kids when they were younger -- I will email you pictures -- in any media.

Handspun, any amount, any color!

Your hand made Christmas ornament!  Thanks fishie and sheepBlue!

A surprise!

Wool of the Andes, worsted weight, any colors, www.knitpicks.com!

Harmony needles, 10 inch any gauge!  www.knitpicks.com!

Fat quarters, any and all welcome!

Sewing notions of all kinds - snaps, velcro, thread, buttons, etc

Solid colored fabrics, all colors welcome!

Corduroy, any and all welcome!

Scissors, old, new, pinking, fabric, embroidery, etc. (I'm a collector)

Candy of all kinds
Food from other countries
postcard from your part of the world
your local newspaper

Happy Birthday! I live in Northern Virginia and my birthday is New Year's Eve, so everybody parties for my birthday. I am turning 28. My favoritest craft at the moment is knitting. But I can sew and I've etched glass. I bake and I play a lot of Nintendo. My favorite videogame series is The Legend of Zelda, but I also like Mario a lot. I like trying new crafts, but mostly only make things for others. Typical right?

Crafted Items:
  • My wists has a lot of stuff on it that I would love to have. http://wists.com/epic1313
  • I recently moved in with my boyfriend, so wall art would be good. We have a space above our video game consoles that I would love a nintendo-related piece of art for. I can measure if interested. Shocked)
  • Any type of market bags. I like knit, crochet cotton ones, but cloth would be cool too. Recycled would be even better. Thank you javastain!
  • A roll for my knitting needles. I have crochet hooks too, even though I don't know how to use them yet. Something to organize the needles would be great though. I like the one fishie has on hers, http://farm1.static.flickr.com/167/403789592_b727719bfd.jpg.
  • Jewelry. I like rings, necklaces, bracelets but don't have pierced ears (except a hoop up in my cartilage that could use replacing Shocked) )
  • I would love a hat/scarf/gloves set. I know that's not a medium, but one of the three would be great too. I have knit everyone in my life a scarf, but have yet to knit myself one.
  • I love this guy's apron http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=viewImage&friendID=151607125&albumID=0&imageID=4555723
  • this shirt is pretty fabulous http://spriteshirts.blogspot.com/2008/05/zelda-ii.html. Or something like it.
  • I could use some oven mitts
  • Also, I have ties from my granddad I would love made into a pillow. I can send them to you for you to make. It's one of those projects I want to do, but haven't been able to start. Thank you cocorific!!!
  • Handmade soaps Thank you SevsOnlyGirl!
  • A surprise!  Grin  Thank you javastain!!!

Craft supplies:
  • I like making cards, so papers or stamps or anything fun.
  • Yarn. I've never used handspun before, so that would be awesome.
  • Knitting needles. Most of mine came from my grandma and and bent plastic. I like metal and bamboo.
  • A crochet teaching kit. I have all the hooks, just no clue where to start.
  • A tatting teaching kit. I have a shuttle and the floss, but no clue where to start.
  • Knitting book or magazines.
  • Stitch markers. I've never had any, but think they would come in handy

I love sugar! Candy corn, chocolate, cookies. I am addicted.

Happy birthday guys! I'm Poppy and I'm an art and fashion student from Birmingham, UK. I collect 20th Century vintage. I love art deco stuff, and curiosities like skulls and old inventions. I wont rule out a colour if its appropriate, but im not fond of neons or sludgy colours like yellowy or greeny browns. I know im a little far away for a lot of you but dont worry.. I'm a jolly girl who totally understands slow postal mail and the like!

I'm 18 on the 31st December. It's a big'un for me, I'm gonna be an adult... argh!! Having a birthday in December can be a little sad at times because between christmas and the new year I can and have been forgotten. Then again, there's always a party come night-time!

Here's my list. I'd like to start by saying that i'll love and appreciate anything you send, whether its something you're really good at or a thoughtful card. My favourite thing about craftster is the people, and I love chatting to the like-minded, friendly people I swap with all over the world!

First of all, surprise me! Cheesy There's loads to see on my wist if you want ideas- www.wists.com/carnabystreet. My profile also has some ideas.

Im a sucker for necklaces with my name on them! Can be made any way. I especially adore all these ones- http://www.ladyluckrulesok.com/index.php?cPath=72_75

Something with a dia de los muertos/vintage halloween/art deco/art nouveau/anatomical skulls/skeletons/B-movie/ flapper girl/pin-up girl/japanese kawaii theme would be amazing.

I'd LOVE an atc/postcard clock like the one here. Plain black if possible, but i'm not really fussy Smiley https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=267288.0

I have somehow found myself without nightwear! It is a shocking predicament. I'd love a cool (not granny-like!) nightwear set (pyjamas,a long shirt, camisole or whatever), made or customised in a vintage style. I'm getting cold! Cheesy

Crocheted bases for hair pieces. A small (4inches-ish) crochet circle with abit of weight to it to use in fascinators. Imagine the base of this but in crochet- http://www.lucky-ltd.com/proimage/xiugai/big/p1010016.jpg
In bright, jewel colours like red and bright blue, or black. I'd be really greatful for this!

A hat using this pattern- http://www.knitty.com/issuesummer07/PATTmarnier.html
would be fabulous. In black

A pair of these gloves would also be amazing-  http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEfall08/PATTtatiana.html

A bag with cheesy 70's lips appliqued on. Any style, any fabric..have a go! Heres where I got the idea from, grr..wish i'd bought this bag...

A knitted wig using this pattern in black, would be so cool!! http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEfall04/PATThallowig.html

A bag/ purse with a big bow like this-

A jewelry box/t shirt with the biba logo on it somehow- http://j9marshall.files.wordpress.com/2008/01/biba.jpg

Amigurumi, especially animals/food with faces/ halloween related cuteness.
A piece of jewelry that uses old or old-looking doll parts somehow, something sophisticated. Any materials can be used. Along these lines- http://www.wists.com/carnabystreet/40a666cc3e4fb6cafd34249686514447?offset=20

A needle felted/ felt stuffie/ crocheted replica of my dog, a small terrier. Can send pics!

A t shirt with the andy warhol banana on it. This can be done any way, but i thought an applique could be cool.

A Necklace made with knitted chain links, like this- http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?ref=sr_gallery_10&listing_id=16983136

A bag that uses old records in it for structure somehow. Ive seen these on craftster before.

A charm bracelet based on anything I have so far mentioned, using shrinky dink perhaps?

Fake cherries or other small fruit, plastic would be perfect.

Vintage gumball-type plastic charms

Alexander henry fabric or similar (cute/retro designs)

Japanese felt craft books/fashion magazines

Any pretty peacock/ostrich feathers I could use in hatmaking

Kawaii fabric/felt toy patterns

Realistic, leopard print, black, red or brown fake fur.

Vintage dress patterns, especially dresses and jumpsuits. 60s and 70s.

60's/70's fashion magazines or cool ephemera

Material covered in same size and same colour sequins. Any colour would be fab!

contemporary fashion/craft magazines and books from your country.

I always love a pretty handmade card.
Sweets, chocolate, candy, biscuits, cake etc etc.. from different countries especially. Me and my bf would sure love a feast! Cheesy
Anything you think I might like!

Thankyou to whoever picks me Cheesy

Hoppy Birthday!
I'm luana.  I live in KS.  I'll be 40something on 12/27.  Mom to 4 (none at home) and Gram to an adorable little boy.
I love crafting and am the queen of glue.  I also sew a little and do some jewelry. I read A LOT.  I have 6 very spoiled cats.
I love cats, big cats, horses, unicorns, zebras and of course frogs.   I prefer to wear black or leopard print (any wild animal print really).
I seem to be becoming allergic to the world so please no bath products, jewelry or candles (Cinnamon or vanilla candles are OK but I have a tendency to forget and leave them burning).
I don't really cook and haven't even hooked up my stove.
I have an odd sense of humor and I like things like LOL cats, twisted whiskers, and other off the wall stuff.
I recycle so re purposed items are cool.

A scoody in leopard, tiger, or zebra print.     Thanks SugarySweet!           http://www.wists.com/bronzfrog/search/leopard/99eda9fe2f59673cee9dbec7b7382018

A dead cat bag.  https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=31718.0

Amigurumi.  I have some on my wist.

I have received some washcloths with frogs on them in some swaps and they are too cool to use.  I figure if I get some more I can make a blanket.

A shopping bag.  I have made tons for others but have yet to make one for myself.   https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=177482.0

A monster purse.  Big enough for my laptop would be cool but it would be fun to have one for a purse.  I like black, orange or leopard print.   https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=119896.0

I always take a large totebag to work as I cart a lot of stuff around.   I like to change them out on occasion.

My living room is decorated with big cats and zebras.  So artwork, frames with wild animal print, or knick knacks are good.

Cowboy or horse artwork is cool.

My spoiled brats LOVE cat toys.

Swiffer cover.

My daughter is a December baby too.   (She just tured 13)  She is into the whole duct tape thing so something out of duct tape for her would be cool.

Anything from my wist.  http://www.wists.com/bronzfrog

I can always use more fabric.  Especially now that I have to go to the city to get fabric.  Ikea fabric would be cool as we don't have one near here.

Zippers.  One day I will get some purses made.

I'm Dawn from Michigan - mid-Michigan if you're familiar with it. Smiley  I'll be 42 on December 26th, that seems to be a popular day for this thread!   Let's get allergies out of the way first - I have slight asthma and am very very allergic to cigarette smoke and some dogs.  I have 2 children (ages 13 & 7), a hubby of 9 years and 1 long haired princess cat.  I'm a Student Life Coordinator by day.  I like all kinds of music and art, but am very picky on my choices in people. Wink  I tend to like books about vampires/werewolves/etc but mostly in modern times and in a fashion that seems more realistic, like the Kim Harrison books.  Enough about me, let's get to the list!

Crafted Items

Handmade Soap - I tend to citrus scents
Wrap Skirt - pm for measurements
stenciled hoodie -something with Kim Harrison characters would be fantastic!
embroidered pillowcases - nature themed
purses - all kinds and sizes
jewelry - I love all kinds - necklaces all lengths, bracelets, earrings, pins...

thread - all colors are good, I'm always in need of black, white, beige
hand sewing needles - hubby used mine to hang pictures, it works great but
                               now I'm short on needles!
paint for canvas or fabric
hoodies - all sizes/colors for painting on

Books - I can give you ideas on these if needed
Candies - I prefer dark chocolate and sour over sweet
Something from your area

Here's my stalkable links:

Thanks to anyone that chooses me!  If you have any questions, don't hesitate to pm me!

* A store bought(you dont have to sew me one!lol) hoodie with something like this embroidered on it would be super sweet. Doesnt have to be as fancy- just an example.http://www.embroiderydesigns.com/productdetails/And+Sew+On+Embroidery/1/buddha.aspx I dont care what colors but would like the thread to contrast with the fabric to make the design stand out. :-)
Felted or Fabric Cuffs -examples of the felted ones can be viewed here.https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=79198.0
*A bag(storebought fine!) with Cherry Blossoms and birds embroidered on it to tote knitting supplies in :-)

hi craftster! i've missed you!!

hi! i'm amy, my birthday is december 22, and i'll be 27. i live in british columbia, canada, with my family and 5 kitties - 3 family cats, my sister's cat, who is sadly going to a new home in early january because he's a bit of a loveable jerk, and my baby, sofie-bean. i've been sick, so i'm a bit late posting my list!

i do lots of different crafting, but sewing has always been my first love! i also do papercrafts (they're a close second), lots of embroidery (both machine and hand), recently some cross stitch, some crochet, though i haven't picked up a hook in over a year, random other stuff. i like dark colours for clothing, lots of black with pops of vibrant other colours like cherry red or royal purple. my bedroom is aubergine and black, my studio is neon pink, and my bathroom is bright blue !  i love colour, though i don't like browns and oranges or pastels. i love stars, anatomical hearts, typewriters, crows and magpies, chandeliers, owls, wooden grain elevators, cupcakes, nesting dolls, cuckoo clocks and catholic imagery like sacred hearts, rosaries, the virgin mary and lady of guadalupe (no jesus please!). my favourite patterns are thin stripes, polka dots, leopard print in any colour but brown, zebra print, pinstripes and herringbone. my style's kind of a gothy glam, but i also adore kitsch and vintage stuff!

ALLERGIES! i am super allergic to scented stuff. please please don't febreeze things or mail them with a dryer sheet for freshness! any sort of fake flower, fruit or "nature" scent will give me a massive headache. thank you!

my info post for swap partners
my wists ( i know my wists is kind of ridiculous. i'm sorry! but i do use tags quite obsessively!)
my craft blog

crafted stuff -
- funky cross stitch patterns! purchased or ones you've made using PCstitch, either is cool! it's hard to find interesting ones that aren't country or cutesy.
- i absoluely adore this knitted heart with wings! i'm not a mom, but luckily my name only has 3 three letters in it!
- i have a totally kick ass newsboy hat crocheted out of cotton yarn, and i love it and wear it constantly. i'd love another like it, either knit, crochet of fabric. i have a big head though, you might want to PM me for measurements!
- i'd love any sort of shrine!
- anything francesca lia block inspired. i absolutely love her books, especially the weetzie bat series. i have a doll that jan_on_ice made me that sits with my books, i'd love something else to sit with it!
- surprise me! something from my wists perhaps?
- a biggish tote bag, straps 22"+
- a messenger bag (i never seem to get around to making bags for myself!)
- slippers, knit, crochet, fabric whatever. i love all the ballet flat or maryjane style ones i've been seeing lately. these ones are fabulous!
- chunky pages for my chunky book! the ones on the swap were art and creativity themed, so it would be cool to get more with that theme.
- skirts! i love skirts, i wear them all the time over tights. funky fabrics, interesting appliques, ruffles, whatever! i prefer knee length skirts with elastic waists, PM me for measurements!
- typewriter art or stuffy! there's a ton of typewriter stuff in my wists.
- artwork of any kind (collage, print, etc!) again, tons of links in my wists!
- interesting pendants. i like chunky ones! i have a choker that i wear all the time and just switch the pendants back and forth, more variety would be fab!
- a doll, in a similar style to these ones. devout dolls, spookbot and the dollings, jenny bird art dolls
- knit cuffs like these in black and grey or red or blue or something! i have one that emilyflew made me in red and black and i'd love more!
- a poppet! i bought all the stuff ages ago, but i've never been able to get my butt in gear to make one! i'd love a slightly gothy poppet!
- i ADORE these wreaths, but i know they're a TON of work!
- fingerless gloves of some sort, knit, crochet, fabric, whatever! cotton would be best... please no fleece if they're sewn, it kills my hands!

craft supplies- i really don't need much, my studio is overflowing already! but these are things i'd always love to have more of!
- covered button kits, the kind that need hammering (i can never get the others to stay Tongue)
- vintage buttons, especially the big ones!
- vintage sewing supplies of all sorts, actually!
- sublime stitching patterns that i don't already have. i'm going to post a list on my blog, but in the meantime, please PM me. i'm trying to collect them all eventually.
- i am DESPERATELY searching for alexander henry "counting crows" fabric. it came out in 2004, and i can't find it anywhere now. tanzie made me a pillow with it in the bird swap and i really want to make the rest of my bedding set match! i have one yard, which i'm hoarding until i can find more. any piece over 8" will help!
- dissolving or iron on stabilizers! i have tons of tear away, but i can't find a good source for the dissolving, and i've never tried iron on before.
- handspun yarn, either enough to crochet something small, or short lengths that i can use in papercrafts. i love the stuff with the thick and thin slubs in it!
- old maps, photos, cards, etc that i can use for artwork. i can never have enough ephemera!

- i collect snowglobes, so i'd love to get one from you! i love the cheapo plastic dome shaped ones, full of kitschy love!
- on the off chance that you have a vintage pyrex bowl in the snowflake pattern.... just thought i'd mention it! Wink
- i'm not super into chocolate, esp US chocolate (sorry!) but i do like milk chocolate! and sour candies are always good too!
