Today I woke up and had an inspiration. I wanted to make my first hat. Together with a fitting small purse. And that`s what I came up with: Cheesy











I`m so in love with the hat.  Cheesy

They are made of wool - it was my former winter-coat. The lining of the purse is purple cotton. On the outside of the closure are some breads.

@goofypinay: I had an old crappy cappy here, which I destroyed and took the bill out. I traced it two times and sewed the parts wrong sides together, turned it round and put the bill in. Then I`ve cutted out two long straps with my headmeasurement plus seam allowance. (I Like to leave more seam allowance, like 2.5 cm) After that I`ve cutted out one rectangle 35cm x 35cm. But that was way to big and not in a good shape, so I cutted here and there and ended up with the rectangle in a stop-sign-form (but not with 8 sides - more like 14  Cheesy ) After that I sandwiched the bill between the bands and sewd them together. It was not really complicated, but a bit tricky to pleat the upper side of the hat. But it went well after a few starting problems Cheesy Sorry if my english is not that good, not a native speaker.

@nezumi_chan: Thanks! Yeah, first try. Though I`m not fully satisfied with the bag - I may change it or make a new one.  Smiley
