I would love to take part in this swap. There are so many musicals I love. My favourites would have to be -
The King and I
South Pacific
Scrubs musical episode (if you haven't seen it I highly recommed it - my favourite musical by far!! Best songs are 'Guy Love' and 'Everything comes down to poo')
Rocky Horror Picture Show

I think that the questions idea in the survey is a good idea. People could always list some links of clips of their favourite musicals online to help out if people haven't heard of them. I know wicked hasn't come out in Australia yet so that's one I would need to research if I received it.

ahhh i dunno if anyones said this ( im a little lazy to look through all the pages sometimes) but im totally obsessed with phantom of the opera! im 20, in college, but have been in luuuuv with phantom since the 5th grade (lame? nahhh). i would totally love to do this swap to show ppl how incredible phantom is! i think it would be awesome if we could choose our partners depending on the musical they want to show us (for example, if i found someone who was into, like, my fair lady, id wanna partner up with them because id want to know more about it! and maybe theyd want to get into phantom!!!) lets dooo it!!!

The scrubs musical episode totally rocks!  I too, am a huge fan of "Guy  Love" and "everything comes down to poo".  Everyone must see it at least once in their lives!!

pup_p_love, wicked has come out in Australia - it's been playing in Melbourne since about June (when I saw it) and new seats have just been released for the start of next year.  I'm seriously contemplating going again...

I will have to keep my eye out for it (and see if I can con hubby into going on a weekend trip down to Melbourne). Its one that Ive been wanting to see ever since I saw a special about it on TV. Hopefully it will come to Sydney.

I'm glad to see someone else share my love of the Scrubs musical. Once you watch it, it is very hard to get the songs out of your head!

Wicked is SO worth a weekend trip to Melbourne-town!  Do it, do it, do it!! Download the soundtrack from iTunes and do it!!

I am now reading the book about the Phantom of the opera, I think it's a bit weird.

I sooooooooooooooooooo love Wicked !!! and I am so happy I discovered it !!!!
There is a beautiful musical playing in Belgium now, Daens! If anyone knows the movie (also a Belgian production)about a priest standing up against the bourgoisie for the rights of the poor people.
I would love to see that too, but I just don't have any time Sad

kaishabackwards, in all honesty, I didn't like the Phantom in novel form nor movie form, but I love the original broadway soundtrack- of course, I fell in love with it about 17 years ago, way before the hype of the movie. Wink Never seen the production, but the movie definitely turned me off.

My favourites are Fiddler on the Roof and My Fair Lady.... Cheesy

I've never really liked Phantom or Cats. For some reason I never really warmed to them. I understand that every one has their own musicals they like for whatever reason. I think thats why there is so many out there  Smiley
