I lived in Walnut Creek until 2 years ago.  I don't remember many craft fairs...but much better supply sources/shops than here.

I grew up in San Mateo and never went to a single craft fair. Sad I only started getting crafty after I moved away.

Thats kind of how it was with me; I was always crafty at heart, but didn't identify as such for a long time because I didn't know it was an identity!

I live almost an hour southwest of San Mateo, in the same town as lilyvanilli and DinosaurusMeg, though I still haven't met them. I went to an arts/crafts meetup group yesterday, though, and met 7 crafty gals who weren't on Craftster, so I nudged them in this direction.

Also - In the style of Forrest Gump, I am weav-aaaang! Cheesy Finished enough of the loom to start some practicing with different materials, and it is rather enjoyable!

I am collecting cotton Hawaiian fabric scraps for a quilt if you wanted to send any my way!

I live in east bay.  But have to travel for work today.  So no Maker Faire for me this weekend.

Next week is Spinning at the Winery in Livermore, CA.  It is small fiber fair, put together by one of the quild, Spindle and Flyers.  If you need more info, PM me.  Smiley  Me and my ravelry buddies are going to be there.
