Ugh. I lost a whole sewing day.  Sad We had freezing rain last night and it knocked out the power (and heat!) for 15 hours!

Mine are still going, we lost 2 weeks of school due to Hurricane Ike so finals were pushed foward too. Sad I'd have been done 2 weeks ago!

OMG. I would probably die in California. Like, instantly. I just don't deal well with the heat. Like, at all. We barely get to the 80s even in the height of summer, and even that's a bit too much for me. Sunshine makes me break out in a rash, and I start feeling faint almost instantly. I was built for our snow rain snow rain rain kind of climate. Cheesy

AH, you have no idea. I stayed in my house the whole summer where it's a chilly 69 degrees from the A/C. It was so drastic if I went out though. Whenever I fed my cats outside in the patio, its like Martian temperature. Imagine going from 60s to the 100s by just crossing a door way. AND! As if California weather wasn't bad enough, Southern California ALWAYS have wildfire. We just had one a few weeks ago, the one where Oprah's house almost burned down, and that made our winter nights go to 100 degrees. No joke. The A/C on full blast in the middle of November. Plus, there was ashes everywhere. My poor cats were so gray.

I'm about half done. I rather like it, even though I screwed something up with the lace a few repeats back. I don't think it looks too bad.

In other news, I'm kind of freaking out over Christmas, mostly because my dad is really hard to shop for. I might just knit him something and hope for the best. Tongue

Apparently now I'm going to have two posts right next to each other, but w/e.

I'm almost done! I only have a few rounds of stockinette, a bind-off, and blocking to do. Oh, and weaving in the end. Then I just need to finalise my extras and I'm good to go, yay!

(Oh god it's twenty minutes past midnight what am I doing up.)

I feel kind of jealous I'm not using cool lingos on my progress. I'm, um ... snipping a few threads off >_>' It's taking me so long to finish this cowl because of holiday crafting, a personal swap that's long overdue, all cramped in a busy schedule. I'm hoping I can ship by the end of the week.

On a much off topic note, California had a rain storm two day ago so we turned the heater on for the first time this year and I've had a runny nose ever since. i_am_138, I'm sorry in advance if you find snot on your cowl. LOL just kidding.
