I recently got the okay to work from home, so the family desk needed a little revamping. Here's the before:


And the modernized after with installed lighting and pretty fabric tack board:

Yes, the lights totally make the desk. They are also really functional and reduce my eye strain during the day. They were a pain to install, but it just wouldn't be the same without them.
