Here's a quickie project I made for my sweetie.  I was inspired by the thumb gussets in the Winter 2003 issue of Interweave Knits, but made up my own pattern. (That is, if you call knit one, purl one ribbing a pattern!)

I heart wool and sharp pointy sticks!

I so love that color! Can never have enough pairs of fingerless gloves! I've never made a pair with thumb gussets before, so this is definitely an inspiration!

Sure, I've got one of those knittin' blog thing-a-ma-jigs!

Thanks!  I was trying to coordinate with a scarf I had made several years back.  I made the gloves from Mission Falls 1824 Superwash Wool, which was very nice to work with.  The color I used is called Curry.

Thumb gussets are easy!  And the gloves fit so much better!

You can adapt just about any mitten project into fingerless gloves.  And projects this size are CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP to make!
