My MeMaw just had surgery 2 days ago to remove a golf ball sized brain tumor.  She is doing great now and the dr said he got it all out with nothing damaged!  Praise God Smiley

Before her surgery she asked me to make her a hat since they would have to shave part of her head.  I was more than happy to knit her one and started searching for the perfect pattern right away.  It needed to be soft, light, not too tight, and somewhere in the light blue family.

I found some bernat satin sport in big sky (which looks like periwinkle to me) and a great pattern on knitty. (chapeau marnier)

there are more progress shots and MeMaw updates on my blog Smiley

So adorable; I love it, I'd wear it in a heartbeat!!

I hope she gets better!

I love the smell of hot-glue-gun in the morning.

That's beautiful!  I sounds perfect for her post-surgery needs.  I love the pattern and the color.

That is a perfectly gorgeous hat! I wish I could knit half as well as you. She is going to love wearing that hat even after her hair grows back in.
This must be a very scary time for your family. Hopes for her continued healing.

How lovely. Just so sweet. I would love one for my 10 month old really as I don't wear hats, but you look sweet in it.

I swap, so in crafting terms I guess that means I put out... You?

Such a pretty hat!  You've done a fantastic job creating this and I'm sure your MeMaw is so appreciative.  I hope all goes well from now on and thanks for the link to the pattern! Smiley

The hat looks great.  I'm so happy that your MeMaw is doing good.  I know she will be happy you made her a hat.  It's beautiful.
