I used this tutorial http://grandrevivaldesign.typepad.com/photos/ruffled_skirts_tutorial/skirts4000.html and sized it up for myself, since that is for a five or six year old and I'm a lot older than that. I should have made the top ruffle a little longer, but I'll remember that for next time. Comments?

Well done. The skirt looks very elegant. Smiley Reminds me of the olden days...a southern romance.. magnolias blossoming...  under the cover of night a beautiful girl in a blue dress rushes to meet her soldier just as the trumpets herald that the Civil War is nigh...The girl's heart is beating so fast, outpacing even her galloping desire... I like it a lot. Is it a simple blue skirt with the cream-colored ruffle sewn on? I can't quite tell.
