My girls loved destroying - I mean redecorating - their hammocks that i was buying for them all the time, so I decided to try to make my own to see if it could be done cheaper.

This was my first attempt at a corner hammock, which some of the other fleece patterns I have underneath it.

And this was one I made for one of my younger girls when she was on her own in a cage until she was able to go in with my other girls.

And Fudge modelling it (not hung up yet but she preferred it as a sleeping bag)

And this was another corner hammock and matching shelf liner set I made.

And a cuddle cup I made for the girls to snuggle in on my computer desk if the got sleepy while free-ranging.

Well done, I like the picture with the sleeping rat, she looks very adorable (although rats scare me a bit, sorry) Hope your girls don't destroy their new and nice-looking hammocks right away Wink

When in doubt - use gold paint Wink

Awwwww! Cute! I love rats. If ever you feel up to it I would love a tutorial. My friend just got 2 ferrets and I really wanted to get her something and making a corner hammock like that (but maybe bigger since it's for ferrets) seems a great idea Smiley

They are really easy to make. Just a bit tricky on the edges, mine always look pretty messy up close. I've never done a tutorial before and I've been really busy lately so I won't make any promises just yet. But next time I make some (that's a definate seeing as they end up destroying them) I'll try take some "in progress" pics.

Mr.Sister they do bite and chew on it but because it's fleece it doesn't fray, so there is no risk of it getting caught around their paws or necks and causing injuries, and it is very soft and comfortable for them. I'm also interested in making a pouch to carry my girls in.

Seneris don't be sorry, we all have things that make us feel that way and it's nothing to be sorry for. >^.^<

I love your bedding & hammocks.  My baby would love one too.  I have a ton of fleece.  He's really old now & gets cold easily.  Your little girls are beauties.
