I've offered to make my friend a dress to be a bridesmaid at a wedding next February. We're both plus size so I know what it's like finding formal wear (or anything RTW) that fits right.

She sent me this photo of a dress she likes but now I need to find a pattern thats similar. Anyone seen one? And yes plus size please.

A few ideas, which might need tweaking depending on how close it needs to be

Simplicity 3541 - The V-neck version with little sheer sleeves, or alternatively a sheer bolero (might be easier and more versatile for re-wearing).  Or maybe the halter version, if she likes halters - the photo almost looks like a halter with a sheer coverup attached.
Simplicity 4277 - lengthened into a dress, again with sheer sleeves if you like (or if required)

Well, those are about the best I could find.  Not perfect, I know, but if it needs to match the photo better it wouldn't be too difficult to accomplish - for example, add a midriff panel with that ruching (or is it pleating?).
